Cog's left the voice mail, not the Dolphins. He has no case, due to Martin saying he believes he was bullied, because of what Cog's said. This is all grand standing if you ask me. Miami shouldn't be held accountable for his actions. They didn't force him to use the "N" word or make a threat to "Kill". I understand why he filed his grievance, but don't agree.

I understand. But Martin's stance is; it wasn't a joke and he took it seriously enough to do what he's doing. We all feel the same, as in Martin's stance being BS, but again Martin's purported belief is what will make Cog's grievance hard to win.

There is no wrongful dismissal or slander. The front office had to do what they did under those circumstances. After Martin (with mental issues) left the team because of racial slurs and threats, they had to suspend him until more facts came out. With all that said, Im in Cogs court. I think Martin has an agenda, and threw the entire team under the bus here.

Good, the team aided and abetted besmirching his reputation and possibly forever tarring him as a racist although they were well-aware he was doing their bidding. They left him out to dry knowing what they knew -someone most of his teammates declare to be one of the most supportive . They deserve all the liability they incur. I hope Richie has as predatory an ambulance chaser as Martin and after getting his proof lined up, goes after the BSPN deep pockets as well - and also some of the hypocrites individually who have depicted him as a torch bearing klansman. I know it was Turner and his BS drill sergeant shtick who put him up to this. Philbin and Ireland should have been honest and fired Turner with an explanation instead of Richie. It's not like he was anything other than a basically NFL unproven substandard position coach anyway.

I don't blame him but I also don't like seeing it. By now he should have been brought back since the tides are turning in the media toward Cog's favor. The team did what it had to do thinking that would be all of the situation, but Martin's money grab continued probably unexpected to them.

I think you missed when I said 'depending on how this all plays out'... There have been NONE of these accusations SO FAR... This thing is in its infancy... the NFL hasn't even made its ruling. But Richie's side are smart enough to keep all options open. And smart enough to know that as things stand..? It's not looking good for him.

Dolphins suspended him to cover their ass. Martin hired a lawyer to cover his. Richie is filing to cover his.

I don't think Richie is getting paid while suspended. I'm sure it's about recouping his salary. He makes 3 times what Martin makes.

yep. Could be... But there is no question this sets up well for any further lawsuits down the road if he feels so inclined. And we still have a lot of twists and turns before this plays out.
