Incognito to File Grievance Against Fins

Money grab, amirite?

As far as I know, he was suspended WITHOUT pay. As far as I know, this incident impacts his ability to continue working in the NFL. You're damn right money's a factor here.

The only reason Martin wasn't put on the NFI list and not paid is because he played his media strategy with much more deftness than Incognito did.

I'm just trying to point out the double standard here. Martin is a snake for being concerned about being paid yet people seem completely fine with Incognito filing a grievance against the team so he can get paid.

How about we just agree that everyone wants to get paid and that doesn't make them a bad person?

Richie had to and I'm sure was advised by the NFLPA to file the Grievance. I feel like the Dolphins actually suspended him, one for PR but two it pulled the NFLPA into this mess. The PA has both clients under its umbrella. Now they ahve a larger stake in this and have to help resolve the situation, as all unions have to do when there is a dispute between two union members. Very smart move by the Dolphins. They have brought in the NFL and NFLPA to show tranparency.

Good, the team aided and abetted besmirching his reputation and possibly forever tarring him as a racist although they were well-aware he was doing their bidding. They left him out to dry knowing what they knew -someone most of his teammates declare to be one of the most supportive . They deserve all the liability they incur. I hope Richie has as predatory an ambulance chaser as Martin and after getting his proof lined up, goes after the BSPN deep pockets as well - and also some of the hypocrites individually who have depicted him as a torch bearing klansman. I know it was Turner and his BS drill sergeant shtick who put him up to this. Philbin and Ireland should have been honest and fired Turner with an explanation instead of Richie. It's not like he was anything other than a basically NFL unproven substandard position coach anyway.

Once everything comes out, which I think is going to show the team doesn't look that bad or they would be trying to keep this in-house, we could see some huge ramifications of this. Shefter better have a lawyer on call because if I'm Richie I'm going after him for slander. The team did what it had to do and in another thread I believe they did this to involve the NFLPA. Union grievances involving two union members is better handled by the union over the team or the NFL.

It sure seems like the locker room is united and now focused on Tampa.
Winning that game will say a lot.

Richie isn't trying to ruin someone else's career here. That's the distinction.

Yeah, because that's what people around here really care about. The career of a 30 year old millionaire JAG of a guard in the last year with the team.

I was reading a guy yesterday talking about how a buddy of his joined the army and was bullied until he committed suicide and about how at his funeral he saw plenty of guilty looks. If we're going to spread our empathy around, there are more important things here than whether Incognito gets another two years in the NFL.

Maybe the 50 Dolphin players who are suiting up could each donate 5K to Richie this week, as a sign of unity and that they support him.

You got me confused with someone else. I think Richie is a dope with a past history of doing incredibly dumb things and that his inability to stop at the clearly delineated warning areas all over the place have resulted in a situation that's terrible for the Dolphins and everyone involved.

But his attempt to shield his finances doesn't involve ruining a bunch of other people via anonymous leaks. Jon Martin's does.

the key difference being Martin threw Incognito under the bus and is trying to bring down the Miami coaching staff too.

if you wanna leave football leave dont ruin careers in the process

I think calling him a dope and dumb is being far too kind. He's much closer to a thug with a history of abusive behavior.

What difference does it make if the leaks are anonymous? Did these people do these things or not? Let's have the truth and let everyone be judged by it.

And? Sounds like some of these people deserve to be under a bus. Martin might end up throwing himself under the bus, too. That'd be fine with me too, if he deserves it.
