But he isn't now, is he? And even so, Ireland would still be a mediocre failure.

If he really wants to win.. simply hire a new GM and let him pick his coach.

Or hire a new president of football operations and let him hire a new GM, who then hires his coach.

Just as long as Ross stays out of it. He obviously can't make a decision without looking foolish.

as far as i'm concerned, the third season of ireland's tenure has just concluded (with a regime change between years one and two, which called for a change in direction, talent-wise). if he stays on, we can hope for a productive stint in free agency, the 2013 draft class to blossom, and more impact from the 2014 draft class. i personally think ireland has the right idea, has made moves to free up money to spend on free agents, and should be allowed to continue.

Holes???? We are set in the CB if Patterson healthy. Only holes we have is probably Wheelers, Kicker and Oline (if it wasn't for the bullygate). We signed Clabo a probowler a few years back. Tried to keep Jake Long. We have a good WR group, TE , etc.
