Interest In Couch Could Pick Up Soon

id have to say with our current options i don't blame saban for showing interest

I also liked hearing from Nick Saban that Mare is having an "fantastic camp". It's about time he got out of that slump as much as we are paying him!

Saban says Mare is improving: After enduring three straight sub-par seasons, Saban feels kicker Olindo Mare is on the rebound.
"Olindo has had a fantastic camp," Saban said. "He has made a much higher percentage of his kicks than what our standard would be."

After converting 84 percent of his field goals his first five seasons  Saban said 82 percent is "pretty decent"  Mare slipped to 76.3 percent during the past three seasons. Mare made a career-low 75 percent last season, when he missed five-plus games because of a calf injury.

i bet if he comes in, AJ gets cut

I think he's close to the chopping block anyway. Even Brock is looking better than AJ and he's greener than Ricky's weed.

I think if Couch comes in sage will be gone

Yep and Berlin will go to the practice squad whether Couch is brought in or not so there is nothing to lose if they bring him in.

I agree. I'm not sure of A.J.'s cap number but I'd be willing to guess he's getting more than Sage and releasing him would be more economical.

Yo any of u facts type of guys out there that could get some of Couch's stats and post em thanx

If Couch is the QB he was before the injuries (which I doubt), the mess at the QB position could actually help get him here. I was no fan of Couch at Kentucky, but he'd be an upgrade over the people on the roster right now.

Update to the Couch story.

The Sun Sentinel reports that Tim Couch confirmed Thursday that his agent and the Dolphins have talked but have not yet set a date for a workout.

"[The Dolphins] would be perfect for me," said the 6-foot-4, 225-pound Couch, who recently got married and has lived in Fort Lauderdale for the past few years. "I'm not sure what role they would want me to play, but I'm open to competition."

Couch sucks! Although I would love to see him come to miami and proves me wrong.
