On his thoughts on Henne:

“He’s taking control over the huddle. He’s just going out there and playing football. He’s talented, he’s got the arm. He’s one of the smartest guys in the NFL and sometimes over-coaching can hurt someone. He’s out there just playing, man. They are letting him play, and I think we are seeing the benefits of that.

Hmmm.

Yea we knew Henning was hurting Henne out there. Too much "buzzer" and "taking out on 1st and 2nd, but save us on 3rd" from him. Switching coordinators was such a huge thing for Henne.

It seems like it wasn't only Henning. Sparano was also called out on micro-managing and I think thats what he was doing with Henne. Time will tell if he has changed his micro-managing, but so far it seems he has.

It wasn't just Henning. David Lee was a big part of the problem. Sometimes we give him a pass because he was the architect of the Wildcat, but he failed at developing Henne just as much as he succeeded at implementing the 'cat.

Man he's still only a good b/up...............

This is similar to what Jason Taylor said back when there was the controversy about Ricky criticizing Sparano. JT said that they had dwelled on nothing but the negatives with Henne, to the point that they had coached him to fear every incompletion. JT said that you can't play unless you're having a little fun out there.

first in with "he's supposed to say that..but what does he say in private":chuckle::crazy:

Not surprised by these comments at all. B.Marsh needs to repair his relationship with Henne after all the crap he indirectly talked about him last year.

That being said Henne has looked decent so far. I have been as critical of him as anyone, and I have been pleasantly surprised so far. Even if it is only the pre season. That TD pass to Marshall last night was a thing of beauty, and Marshall proves yet again that he is a beast when he has the ball in his hands.

Maybe I might get a little mileage out of the Henne jersey I bought a few years back after all!

marshall needs to worry about taking care of the ball, thanks to him the momentum was tossed over to tampa for the remainder of the night.

It's preason. This is the time to make those errors, I'm sure BMarsh is mad at himself as anyone for losing that ball.

I was more impressed with Marshall's power, speed, agility, and concentration than dissapointed or concerned by his fumble. People keep talking about how we are seeing a different Chad Henne this year, this looks like a different Brandon Marshall. He is showing the kind of yards after the catch ability that made him so dangerous in Denver. I wouldn't be surprised if he has as many YAC yards in the last two games as he had all last season.

Henne just looks different on the field and on the sidelines like he is having fun and more in command of the offence as a QB should be.

I agree 100%. Last year it seemed like Henne got the play, went to the line of scrimmage and ran the play no matter what the D showed. Looks like he is out there now directing players and making adjustments according to the D's looks.

BOSTON:

ok man, i gotta ask, are you a communist or is this some kind of wierd late night cable channell cartoon character?

not gonna flame, i just gotta know.

MARSHALL: lets see what is said when henne misses a couple wide open throws to him that would have been td's. last years statements were NOTHING about henning thumbing him down. and thats AFTER henning was gone!!! remember, part of brian marshalls illness brings massive mood swings. like bipolar disorder, personality disorder brings mood changes. right now brian is flying high getting that big play and seeing the pass more prominent, liking the offense better, etc......, but the "negative" comments like the ones he tossed out last year will be back when balls are sailing overhead, ints start, etc....... .

i LOVE what i am seeing out of this new scheme, but 10 points from our starters against tampa in the dress rehearsal game isnt screaming rosie future. this o-line truelly is a BIG JOKE, people out of there natural positions, people who should be retiring and not playing, people who shouldnt even be on the team and a pro bowl lt who we probably wont be seeing much of this season. throw in denial from a widely undeserving "O-LINE GURU", and HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM!!! a big one. and the guys who are out there who can still help a team on the line are getting swolllowed up by teams who have already figured out there line needs help.

so again, we will see how smart and beat down by the man the opinions are IF we start the season 1-4.
