Interesting

Miami has not taken a first round QB since 1983. Regardless if it is Luck or not, it is time to end that streak.

The slogan should read:

1st rounder to stop the flounder.

Andrew Luck will not make this team's defense any better. I'm sure will he be able to line up at LB and stuff the run when they continue to run it down our throats for 8 minutes at the end of the game when we need a stop.

Here's a thought.

All those hoping we actually lose in order to get Luck...what happens if your dreams come true, then Luck either:

Doesn't come out next year
Sucks in the Pro's?

Then how will you all feel that you sold your soul to the NFL devil for nothing?

The Luck deciding to go back for his senior year would suck, but him sucking in the pros is not even a consideration. Not saying it can't happen, but what I am saying is EVERYONE would be wrong. I have yet to here one credible person say Luck is not the real deal at QB. The last QB to come out that had no questions about him was Elway, and he turned out OK.

Luck is the real deal, if he sucks then it is what it is, but this kid has the goods and there is not one team that would second guess chosing Luck at #1 if they were in that position (assuming they don't have a young franchise QB stud).

You know Confessor I hear you...to an extent. But at least we would be TRYING to solve a problem. We know we need a QB and as far as anyone can project Luck is the most highly regarded prospect coming out since Peyton Manning. So if we selected him would I be mad if he didn't work out? Disappointed but not mad because we did the most reasonable thing possible to solve the problem. But I am just sick of this "let's find a diamond in the rough" type mind set where we think we are going to find game changing playmakers in late rounds, off other teams trash piles etc. It has been a total bust. So I would rather see us swinging for the fences and actually make an attempt to get players who have potential to be future Pro Bowlers. It's time to get real talent in this team. And with the Rookie Salary Cap, its less painful if Luck Sucks.

Agree with what you are saying but I would go back further than Manning because there were questions about Manning's arm strength and leadership ability as he couldn't win the big game in college. I would go back to John Elway was the last QB that came out when there were no questions on him.
