Ireland Defenders Please Read

fire ireland...but...the packers have won multiple superbowls running this exact offense without a bell cow back for the last 20 years at THE frozen tundra of frozen tundras.
And they had two elite quarterbacks in a row. When was the last time a dolphin quarterback made the probowl.

Marshall did the same exact thing in Denver. Thats who he is. Ireland had no qualms about forking over 2 second round picks for him. To act surprised 2 years after the trade at the behavior of the headcase you invested so heavily in shows how utterly lost Ireland truly is. Not to mention how absurd it is that Ireland repeated the entire episode with Richie Incognito shortly after dismissing Marshall. I mean, come on...

When did i say the Bears are a great team? I said Marshall has "thrived" for other coaches. And he has. No matter what anyone's opinion of him as a human being is, hes a damn fine player. He was great for Shanahan, he was good for McDaniels, he produced for Lovie Smith, and now hes playing quite well for Marc Trestman(1.2k yards, 11 td's). Hes one of Ireland's few "hits" talent wise. And even then Ireland rushed his ass out the door as quick as possible. 2 second round picks for a 2 year rental. And people want those sort of decisions to continue happening :bobdole:

He does not make the Bears a better team. He is just a big name.

Megatron has not made the Lions a better team, even with Reggie Bush.

What we need is our QB to become great. What we need is to build this Oline once and for all. What we need is to find a way to get Jordan in game all game whether it be LB or DE along with Vernon and make Misi a MLB type. Wheeler comes in on special package....which wouldnt be that special.

What we need is a power RB like what the Jets have along with Miller and an offense that sets up for a tough running game and not be in shotgun 80% of the time with no TE's. It doesnt work through the course of a 60 minute game. Ireland doesnt control this.

And Henne is leading the Jags to an early draft pick that they will replace him with.
And Sporrano is working at a Quiznos in Shreveport.

so your living in the past? We are in the Philbin era now. I prefer to talk Philbin era because alot is on the coaches, not Ireland. Can Ireland be better on draft day? of course, but look around the league, you will find alot worse and those great teams are not really doing any better draft wise. This is a fact. Datruth put up a nice piece(s) on all of the teams and their drafts from last 3 or 4 years. Clearly drafting is never going to be where you score on every player. Too many variations and changes that happen in the league that cause a player to fail or not reach their full potential.

We get rid of Ireland, you might as well get rid of Philbin and the whole shebang and start over. This is my whole point in this whole thing. I have thought through the possibility of firing Ireland. But that wont change the fact that Sherman doesnt use his TE's very well in the grand scheme of things.

Why did Marshall not want to be here ?
Peyton Manning visited before he went to Denver.
They know we don't have the organizational talent to win.
And when you get talent on your team you keep them and add more , that is how you win.
You have a posse ?????

Peyton manning did not visit us. We visited him. He wasnt interested. Why must you make your point on something as irrelevant as this? He chose where he wanted to go. Denver. Thats it. end of story. If he werent playing for Denver, they would be just like us.

I'm not going to lie, when we traded for Marshall, I kinda tried to defend him on another board. A board where I had previously bashed on him for that stupid stunt he pulled in a Broncos practice where he was refusing to participate and just punting footballs out of the practice area.

I got halfway through a sentence trying to rationalize his childish temper tantrum and just closed the browser window. The guy's a moron and we knew what we were getting. That practice temper tantrum had been national news -- I even remember seeing Joe Rose bash him about it on Sports Final one night.

I just want you to know, I listen to your criticism's more than alot of other peoples because at least you can be honest and objective and recognize good and say so when its there. I look for objectivity. If everything is all bad all day every day and you have nothing good to say, I dont buy in to anyone's argument. I quit reading or I already shrug and say same chit, different day.

Not that this BM thing is a positive thing.

yes I did, for that day. Its called breaking bread.

thanksgiving if you will. Im a puritan. The Indians were cooking their turkey in hot oil. I gave them my sausage, they gave me some turkey. Then I proceeded on to the game shouting at the top of my lungs to my Miami defense that the screen pass was coming.......all day.

Ireland doesn't control the personnel on the o-line, the lack of a power running back or the lack of skill at linebacker? Maybe Jordan can't get on the field not because of the coaching staff's philosophy on playing rookies but because he's just not very good, isn't that possible? They proved last season they have no qualms about playing rookies seeing as Tannehill and Martin started every game.

actually you are the one that brought up Sporrano and Henne.

Quarterbacks do not become great when they are on their backs , hookers do.

you are bringing up two different circumstances. One being a high QB draft pick and Martin holding a very important weak position.

This year, Jordan is playing behind three, not two, three good DE's and we got him because he gives us the ability to bring him along more slowly. The labrum thing plays into that. diff circumstance. Same with the CB's. Drafted to bring along slowly behind all the vets. Is #22 a bust (i cant even remember his name)? I dont know. Wont know til next year. Think Odrick.

Why don't we try this ?
How many of Irelands players have gone to the probowl ??????

Is this how you determine greatness?

Because I could make a huge argument that coaches building a great team get more problowl appearances.

btw, Starks, Wake, Incog, Long, Grimes (should be this year),

Players who should get consideration as subs:
Clay, Pouncey, Vernon

actually you are the one that brought up Sporrano and Henne.

Not really. All the Ireland talk eventually leads to Parsells and Ireland and pat White and yadda yadda yadda....

We have some really bad players on this team, we have some average players on this team and we have some pretty good players on this team but where are the great players on this team? Wake? Not so much this year. Grimes? He's played very well but will he be here next year?

This team lacks difference makers. People are content with the hartlines and the clays and they are pretty good players but elite talent wins in this league. Not pretty good talent. Keenan Allen, who many were clamoring for, would of looked real good on our team. Instead we pay big money to players, who while aren't bad, they certainly aren't top end players at their position.

We should have taken Keenan Allen, like every draft board had us taking, and let Wallace go to Minnesota.
