Is this how you determine greatness?

Because I could make a huge argument that coaches building a great team get more problowl appearances.

btw, Starks, Wake, Incog, Long, Grimes (should be this year),

Players who should get consideration as subs:
Clay, Pouncey, Vernon

Don't forget Soliai, Carpenter, John Denney,

We should have taken Keenan Allen, like every draft board had us taking, and let Wallace go to Minnesota.

I would have taken the G from Carolina....but he got a one way ticket to IR so thats how life goes sometimes........if we could all see into the future, we would all be rich the easy way.

Don't forget Soliai, Carpenter, John Denney,

I left the door open to others to help make my point.....thanks scotty!

wait, denny was here long time ago wasnt he?

He does not make the Bears a better team. He is just a big name.

Megatron has not made the Lions a better team, even with Reggie Bush.

What we need is our QB to become great. What we need is to build this Oline once and for all. What we need is to find a way to get Jordan in game all game whether it be LB or DE along with Vernon and make Misi a MLB type. Wheeler comes in on special package....which wouldnt be that special.

What we need is a power RB like what the Jets have along with Miller and an offense that sets up for a tough running game and not be in shotgun 80% of the time with no TE's. It doesnt work through the course of a 60 minute game. Ireland doesnt control this.

:sidelol:

So if i go through your post history, will i find praise for Brian Hartline and an insistence that he has helped our offense?

Not to mention the fact that, again, i never stated anything about the quality of the Bears either way. I said Marshall has played well. Which is apparently so threatening(!!). But okay, lets take your repeated stance to its logical conclusion: Brandon Marshall doesnt help teams. Hes a name. Thats it. His production has absolutely no outcome on the course of games. And Jeff Ireland gave up 2 second round picks and 50 million dollars for someone who was never going to help this team.

Boy, that makes Jeff Ireland look great. Way to be Jeff, great job buddy.

All of you who think this loss is on the players and do not know why everyone is down on Ireland it is really simple. We lost because our talent was not as good as theirs especially on the OLine and Defensive Line. We knew OLine was a problem and he failed to address this.

During the most critical game of the year look at the contribution that this year's draft made. NOTHING!

We have a complete failure in acquiring top talent. Yes he hit on Wake and a small handful. But just not good enough over the length of his tenure.

We are just not talented enough and that it eh GM.

So why are we in the 6 Seed of the playoffs right now and Buffalo is going golfing in a week??

The only glaring problem with the 0-Line in the off-season was at LT. And wasn't a issue until week 4. Than the previous three weeks, Winning against Pitt, Jets, and NE it was fine. And I thought people were fed up with the corn feeders.

We got out played like the rest of 9-7 teams in the AFC.

The defensive line was a problem? A line with 3 Pro-Bowlers on it ? And one 2nd year player with double digit sacks ? So beating the Bengals, Steelers, Colts, Patriots. We are just not talented enough? Or did circumstances play a factor ?

And we have defeated three of the teams on that list.

Out of a 32 team league, we are one of the 12 that's currently still standing. Over 60% of the rest of league didn't fare any better this year..

So, please do us all a favor, we get in these playoffs on Sunday, since everything is so horribly wrong with this team and ONLY this team, just go fishin, bowling or maybe even to the movies, while the rest of us cheer THIS team on...

If he hit on his draft picks and free agents we wouldn't be a 9-7 team. Classic example of the apologists mind set. 9-7 and the possibility at a 6 seed is acceptable. I prefer being a serious Super Bowl contender and as long as Ireland is the GM, the Dolphins will never be efficient across the board.

So the 21 sacks Tannehill took during those 6 games were...what, a good thing? A positive for his development? Not a problem at all? Or are you suggesting that Tannehill was at fault and the line was fine? Well, im sure Shouright will be in wholehearted agreement at the very least.

Thus is the danger mindlessly praising everyone who happens to have the words "Miami Dolphins" associated with them. It often undermines their entire arguments for other(more important) parts of the team.

you are bringing up two different circumstances. One being a high QB draft pick and Martin holding a very important weak position.

This year, Jordan is playing behind three, not two, three good DE's and we got him because he gives us the ability to bring him along more slowly. The labrum thing plays into that. diff circumstance. Same with the CB's. Drafted to bring along slowly behind all the vets. Is #22 a bust (i cant even remember his name)? I dont know. Wont know til next year. Think Odrick.

You mean like Shelby...

There were plenty of people who said that Martin, Jerry, and even Incognito were a problem. Of course being the great football brain you are, you ignored them... What exactly is our new record sack count at genius???

The nut hugging is strong in this one.

"The Dolphins have allowed a staggering 58 sacks, which matches the league-high number allowed by Arizona last season (and Miami has a game left). That is also the most given up since Oakland coughed up 72 in 2008. It's shocking Ryan Tannehill was not hurt before Sunday."

And this doesn't factor in the probability of Branden Albert hitting the FA market and the Dolphins having to pay a higher price to bid for his services. Could have had him for the second rounder that he spent on an injured CB who can't get on the field. ****ing genius that Jeff Ireland is.

And lets not forget the brilliant move passing on Wheeler in 2012 when his price was 600K instead spending 5 mil on that turd in 2013. Genius hard at work.

Common sense is not allowed on these boards. :chuckle:

here is your common sense....most cornerbacks don't become stars year one. pat surtain and Madison took 2-3 years to become a top duo. and you need four good cb's in todays game.

Maddison started on year one and Surtain too. Not saying they were probowlers right away but they were starters. We did use a 1st round pic to take Surtain in the 2nd round but it was worth it.

Ozzy rules!!
