Ireland dismantled leadership council creating a void where unstable incognito filled

Funny thought: You know who is actually trying to help the Dolphins in all of this? Bill Parcells.

He came out and made some comments on why the Dolphins signed Incognito and how they really did think he had turned his life around and was taking positive steps to become a better person.

Jake should have been signed, he played with one shoulder during one season and gave this team everything he had......why is it ok to over pay for a FA ( WR, LB) but not for a guy who did so much for the team while he was here...If he was here I don't think Martin snaps....part of Martins problem is he failed aT LT, got demoted and couldn't take the criticism.. add that to a unstable buffoon assigned to make him a tough guy sent him over the edge....If Jake is here maybe he takes the kid under his wing and things would be different.....

You don't overpay Jake because Jake had a long history of injury. Jake wasn't holding up any longer and he was getting hurt every season. Mike Wallace was an obvious need. LT wasn't or so, at the time, we had hoped. JMartin was a 2nd round LT, on the roster who had played LT at Stanford so, it was thought LT would be his natural position and he would progress. It didnt work out that way but, LT wasn't as obvious a need, at the time, as WR was. That's why you overpay for a WR and not the often injured LT who wasn't protecting any longer at an elite level.

Bush was about money. RBs are becoming easier and easier to find in late rounds and their necessity becomes less and less. Bush wasn't a great RB for us. He was good and LMiller keeps up what he has been doing lately, Bush's numbers will be matched by Miller......THIS YEAR!!! Miller's 4.8ypc is better than bush's 4.4 ypc. LOL, Miller even, CURRENTLY has 3 TDs to bush's 2.

I just want to pop in and say the thread title is hilarious... keep up the deep thoughts and theories!

Tony Sparano was the one most excited about getting R. Incognito. I recall him saying that guys like Richie Incognito being "fast twitch" are rare. Sparano was the one gushing over the Incognito signing a few years back. I'd imagine he did some convincing talk to Ireland to get him signed but wouldn't there be provisions in his contract for Incognito to behave considering his past?
