Ireland = mckinnie and thomas

Then he deserves blame for failing in his attempt.

Our players are slammed if they try but fail on the field, our general manager can get slammed if he tries and fails off the field.

I'm not trying to get in the middle of the save/fire ireland debacle, because I find it tedious at times. I'm just curious if there was an attempt,, prior to the trade, to acquire him. Only reason I mention it because I know there was previous interests in mckinney and it is possible that the ravens were asking way too much for him, from teams, at that time.

At this point in his career, McKennie is a below average OT, and nothing more as much as we would like him to be. He got beat up today.

From what i can recall, Ireland had confidence in the Martin/Clabo combination. There was nothing to indicate that he made any sort of serious attempt to remedy the situation before the Ravens traded for Eugene Monroe. Basically, before Clabo showed himself to be damn near irredeemable. I say "damn near irredeemable" because...well, hes turned it around :lol:

While it takes two to tango in a trade, we know for a fact that there were other options available. Eugene Monroe could have been had and potentially been a long term solution. We could have reopened talks with Kansas City over Albert. Its likely Jason Peters could have been had from the Eagles for the right price. Not using our resources to the best of our ability his something we can blame Ireland for.

Technically he drafted tannehill he will live or die through tannehill.
I think the FANS had a lot to say about dafting a QB in the first.i think Ross felt the heat and decided to listen to his fans

^^^This argument is losing thunder...

For real. That makes absolutely no sense. Like we didn't start over just two years ago, with different philosophies on both side of the ball, which lead to a whole different mindset. You know what I say. ****EM..

Agreed, He got beat a couple of time. A younger, faster Bryant McKinnie would have been a brick wall.

that said, I'd like him back as a part-time player, but it's been reported BMac wants a full-time contract with starters money. just can't do that for a guy I don't see surviving the entire season.

I'm not going to dispute that he could be below average, but whatever he has been is enough stabilize the line and keep some semblance of a pocket on most plays, which we almost never had before he got there. Scheme and good QB play has minimized the damage the offensive line can do, which wasn't happening early in the season, but I can clearly tell the difference with my eyes how much more stable they are, and the difference has been reflected in our win loss record.

When it comes to Ryan Tannehill and mounting clutch drives, my biggest worry since week three has not been whether or not he will get the job done, but whether or not the offensive line will give him a chance to. The last two weeks, they have.

I posted this in another thread, but I think it applies here too.
