Ireland-Philbin seem to genuinely disrespect veterans

And here I thought Dansby played a completely different position than Wheeler. Boy was I mistaken.:rolleyes2:

Well to be fair to Failbin and Fireland not many of our vets deserve respect! ****ing thieves stealing checks on Sundays

They should change the pay to a "pay for play" type set up.

Loose game, loose portion of paycheck. Lose game like yesterday and the week before, NO paycheck.

I bet all these mother ****ers slept just fine last night, while I tossed and turned all night long.

At least now its over.

The trouble with Philbin is he thinks he's coaching in the late 1960's and he's taking on a Vince Lombardi "no nonsense" attitude". I genuinely believe he is a good X's and O's head coach but he is not a born leader. He's an emotionless robot on the sideline. Look at the successful coaches over the last few years.... Jim Harbough, John Harbough, Pete Carrol, Tom Coughlin, Sean Payton, Belichick etc.... these guys are leaders and even though some of them have won superbowls and others haven't their players constantly play tough for them and they feed off of their coaches enthusiasm on the sideline. The camera pans to Philbin on the sideline and if you didn't know the score you would have no idea if they were up by 20 or down by 20... you get nothing. People have commented on his post game locker room speeches and I can honestly say they were very scripted and very awkward.... it should just flow with emotion but it doesn't. You shouldn't need a coach to fire up his players but again this isn't 1967 anymore and today's athletes are not the same as they were 40 years ago.... Philbin needs to adapt or he's going to have a short carer as a head coach.

I totally agree with this. I hate Rex Ryan more than anyone (maybe not Bellichick), but the emotion he showed on the sidelines yesterday is what this team needs. The only emotion I saw out of Philbin yesterday was when Pouncey had the illegal block after the interception and the referee called it on #50. Joe was asking Rizzi who the penalty was on, as if to argue that there was no #50. Who the F cares at that point? Show emotion, show anger that you just lost the game. Show something!!

As far as the disrespect to the older players that the OP suggested, I just feel that Joe is stuck in the old mentality of coaching, where he is boss and he doesn't want anyone to challenge him. It scares me a lot, because if he is not fired, I don't think he will be OK with a guy like Gary Kubiak, who has HC experience, coming in. I was very happy when Joe was hired, but I am starting to think he may not be the right man to lead a team.

As it relates to Rex Ryan: He's made one humongous blunder that I can think of, as it relates to buttfumble's injury in the preseason, and I think it's for that reason that his head was seemingly on the chopping block all season, only for it to be reprieved as of yesterday morning. That was a good decision on the part of the ownership. Rex Ryan does inspire his players and he does hold them accountable. His GM gave him some chicken **** at QB and he was able to make enough chicken salad out of it to take that team to 500, especially with that banged-up and under-talented receiving corp. Their team shows grit and heart under adversity, while our guys were sleepwalking out there the last two weeks.
I've seldom seen so many deer in headlights as what we saw in Buffalo and at Sun Life yesterday. Phibin is a cipher. Milquetoast is a kind word to describe what he brings.

When the Jets ran that true wildcat play and actually passed out of it to create what was really the game-clinching play, after showing all those well-executed designed QB runs (which made Coyle seem like the most surprised guy in the building even though they did it, like, 8 times in the game with a QB who was drafted specifically to do that) I knew we were over-matched out there on the sidelines and in the pressbox.
Tannehill had run the read-option play a few times this year to great success, yet we hardly ever run it. What a weapon that is on short yardage situations. I mean, how do you stop that in short yardage, especially when you don't know it's coming? You don't. We almost ever run it though. Jets coaching adapts to utilize the talents of its players. Mike Sherman slams square pegs in round holes, and Kevin Coyle does, too.

I hate our GM, and I hate our coaching. I haven't bought any merchandise with the new logos and such, and right now, it's looking like I never buy this crap. The Dolphins have been my team since I was 12 but, heck, what the hell am I doing? What's the definition of insanity?

The swap was more dansby out and ellerbe in. Either way both our new linebackers sucked. Ellerbe was just as bad as wheeler
