Yes. The owners vote in the commissioner and they can fire him. As well, i believe(though im not completely sure) they control his pay and benefits. I vaguely recall them giving Goodell a raise not to long ago.

It's a number that appears bigger than it actually is. Like others have said, there's no way he should lose less money than a player suspended for an equal amount of time. Proportionally speaking, fines on players represent a significantly higher percentage of their income than this fine on Irsay did.

I just made a run to the store and picked up a bag of Cheetos, mascara, Chapstick and a bottle of water. The total bill was around $14.
