If there a run for QB's early is could push other talented players down and a team that needs a QB or another talented player that they didn't expect to be there. I hope it happens and they can agree on a deal.

Only one problem with your idea... a first “next year” is not worth the same value as this year....the trade chart applies to the current draft... generally future picks traded are devalued by one round per year.

So a first next year is equal to a 2nd this year in value in trade.

So in reality....we are getting potentially a late 2nd rounder in value.

However... if landing your QB next year is your goal... it might be acceptable....I would think another pick as well would be in order though.

Normally a player or two slip from the consensus spot most thought they would be off the board, it all depends on how bad another team might what that player.

If all the top QB’s are off the board, a likely scenario, when MIA picks Im listening to all offers.
