Im seeing all these wonderful looking stadiums like Invesco, Lincoln, etc. today and think how bland PPS looks compared to them.. Do you think a new stadium will be built within the decade? Or at least renovate PPS a little?

We need to install some field turf to get rid of dirt infield. Or better yet, kick the Marlins the hell out.

or give the marlins PPS and build a dan marino stadium D:<

PPS is a football stadium. The Marlins want their own stadium more than the Dolphins want the Marlins out, especially after they've won 2 World Series in 6 years.

PPS is just fine, and it is probably at least a good 15-20 years away from replacement.

I wonder if we would see the Orange Bowl imploded and a move by the 'Canes to JRS, then a new stadium where the Orange Bowl is whenever it is time for a new place. I will note that I have never visited Miami, so I have no idea if that is plausible or not. Anybody care to comment?

I for one like that idea. Itll be hard though to build a stadium though considering the Orange Bowl site is relatively small compared to the PPS site and most of Broward/Dade counties are in a buildout.

It sounds to me like that might be difficult to work out, which is what I kind of feared I would discover.

PPS isn't in Miami...

If that was directed at me, I actually knew that. I haven't even been to Florida. Everything within a good 50+ mile radius of Miami is Miami in my mind.

Move the stadium north

If the Stadium could be moved atleast 45 min north along the coast the attendance would be much better in my opinion.

Kick the Marlins the hell out? Excuse me but the Fins are not the only sports team in Florida. The Marlins are also a Florida team and people need to realize this. At least they have won some championships so give them respect.

I like Pro Player Stadium. There are newer stadiums like the one in Seattle and the redone Soldier Field that are amazing to look at, but in now way is Miami's a bad field. In fact, I always enjoy the site of it on Tv and enjoyed seeing a Marlisn game live. The facilities seemed fairly nice to me and don't need replacing.

There's nothing wrong with Pro Player that kicking the Marlins out won't fix. The sightlines are great and the seats seemed wider than most venues.

The Orange Bowl is on an old site in the middle of a residential neighborhood. When the Orange Bowl is imploded, it will not be used for another stadium.

And given that Pro Player is on the Dade/Broward County line and the Dolphins' training facility is in Broward County, I can't see them moving back into Miami proper.

The stadium was built by Joe Robbie specifically for the Dolphins. Now, the Marlins also play there and cause massive problems with the field. The best solution would be to let the Marlins build their own house - one better suited for baseball- and get them out of JRS, PPS, or whatever the new name is gonna be.
