Is Kader the defensive MVP through week 8?

AVG has been consistently the best pass rusher while Phillips was out. David Long is coming on.

I think Fangio said he doesn't trust him out there yet.

He also got hurt last week, or the week before (a foot).

I expect to see a him down the stretch.
IDK brother. With JR back, Holland, Needham, Jones, etc we have a lot of experience in the backfield.

We may see him some, but a big role with a lot of snaps? Not seeing it.

i didn't say a big role, i would just expect him to be in the mix after the bye. if not, not. i still think he's an excellent prospect for us.

I think he is a good prospect too, but I think they are basically "red shirting" him this year, aside from special teams.

I know ppl want our rd2 pick to shine and have an impact year one, but the staff obviously think he isn't ready. Might he be ready sooner rather than later? Possible, I was just pointing out he is behind a considerable amount of experienced talent/depth.

Garbage time, fine. That's a different story. Even then, we have Championship aspirations.
Is it even prudent to get him snaps ahead of those more experienced depth players at this point?

Just trying to be logical considering the situation. Our eyes are on the prize this year. We aren't in a position where we are developing unproven players for two years down the road.

Just my opinion, of course.

i want his play to force his way onto the field!! lol

No, and I say that loving the kid and his story.

I wish he would have blocked but instead he got in Ramsey's way or that's a pick six yesterday, lol.
I thought he took out Mac Jones or perhaps it was Wilkins? Thought I saw a “4” on a jersey take someone out that appeared to be Mac

The prospect of having a secondary with all of these guys healthy - Ramsey, Kohou, X, Needham, Elliot, Holland, Jones, and Cam Smith and Eli Apple thrown in for depth - is kinda insane to contemplate. Wow.

He’s been consistent and reliable for us. He’s made plays at big moments and basically been the only one keeping us from having a college D2 secondary when Ramsey and X were injured.

We literally had to sign Apple. Think about that.

Not MVP at all. But, given his assignments and his talent, he's a very good acquisition. He should improve as he returns to slot

Yeah, it was him. They got tangled up down there and Ramsey couldn't get over the pileup cleanly. Kader did well, I just wish he could have gotten that clean block, that's all ;)

I love when Mac Jones gets leveled - was hoping he got hit hard on that. Wanted Ramsey to score so badly

Circling back to this argument… I agree with all this.. with that said… I see no reason they should have given A SINGLE snap to “Nickerson” or whatever who they signed later and proceeded to cut for Ramsay. It shows they were benching him on purpose. Unless he was being an asshole in some way (and we don’t know), then I can’t get behind it.

Also, KK and Eli Apple are the two most overly hated players on this team. KK doesn’t get as much as Apple but frankly shouldn’t get any flack at all… even Jalen Ramsay has a poor day or two. KK is basically free relative to the production we are receiving from him.
