Guy really gonna miss his 3rd game with a ankle sprain ? I thought sitting him last week was just to get extra rest for pitt game and now he isn't practicing this week and likely gonna miss a playoff game? I know this guy turned his season around and ended up being a damn good corner but this is ridiculous. Brown gonna torch us if he doesn't play. I'd be pretty much done with this guy if he doesn't play its playoffs everyone is banged up tape the god damn thing up and get out there.

I doubt he wants to miss the game and I also doubt the coaches want a hobbled cb out there Sunday.

It is what it is, injuries suck.

Yeah, he's probably holding himself out cause he doesn't want to play in a playoff game........

I thought I had an ankle sprain, I pushed through and continued playing sports. Turns out I had cartilage floating around inside my ankle destroying all the soft tissue. Don't be ignorant of injuries.

If you think an NFL player is going to sit out a playoff game that he's physically able to play in, you are delusional.

Guess I just didn't think iT was that severe like I heard he fought as hell to try and get out there last week and now it's worse that he isn't even practicing ? Something doesn't add up

It's called trying to come back from an injury before you're ready. It's a real thing.

This might be it for Maxwell. We have no need for him at his current salary. Restructure or be cut

You try running full speed against elite athletes with a sprained ankle. So many people don't understand the injury and say how can he do this he's faking it he's quit on the team

Blah blah blah... once again, you go run full speed against elite athletes. Its not happening. He'd last 1 or 2 plays

Hes not even a great corner to begin with!

IDK that this means he's out next season, this dolphins coaching staff is much more serious about a players long term health than any previous staff I can think of. I'm sure the coaches and players want every man suitable for the game to be in there, but if it's going to **** up their career going forward the coaches are erring on the safe side. we ruined a great WR in OJ mcduffie by bringing him back too soon... just one example that I can come up with before coffee.

Yeah, and with ankle sprains, once you do it once, you're more susceptible to spraining it again. Especially if you come back too soon. I had a grade 3 high ankle sprain and literally couldn't even put weight on it for two weeks, let alone run on it. It was 2-3 months before I was able to make cuts on it, and that was with a heavy brace.

Wow we are now critizing injuries. Dolphin fans are truly the best.

An NFL player not wanting to play in the payoffs if healthy?
Get real.
If he was halfway, ready to go, he would beg the coaches to play him.
A high ankle sprain can take months to fully recover from.
For a CB, who needs to cut on a dime, that is not a good thing to have.
