Is Olindo Mare overrated?

Your analysis of Mare is wrong...year in and year out he's made many of the big kicks...he also leads the league in touchbacks...a rare combination for kickers...However, I will concede that he must have his best season this season and that he has had mediocre seasons the last two (at least partly due to injury last year that affected him for 4 geames or so...) It's ashamed that he is one of the top kickers for his career, but he has to do it this year to remain on this team due to his salary...But that's what the NFL is all about...

I totally agree. I'm not meaning to bash on Olindo, but that is how the NFL works and he needs to step up his play this year. I actually hope he has a great season and stays on as our kicker. But I can't accept a 4th straight down year and continuing to pay him top dollar.

I believe he still is a proven winner that will revert back to form! (he hasn't fell hard, you make it seem he misses everything) Plus on a onside kick i'll take him everytime! my opinion of course
