How about we watch them in pads first before jumping to any conclusions?in a perfect world, if our Oline is healthy all season, do we have a very good oline?
Jackson, Savaiinaea, Brewster, Daniels, Paul

In a perfect world he would be a starter for the Bills. In a perfect world, Eichenberg would be a Jet.
Agree, and I'll add that we still don't know what Paul is yet. He had his ups and downs last year as to be expected. I'm hopeful that he blossoms this year, but there are no guarantees. I pray that we never have to see Eich play another down for the Fins. The upside is an OL that stays healthy and is playing its best football, at a totally adequate level, in Nov-Dec.
There is big risk. Daniels may not be ready. Eichenberg may start early. Daniels still needs to adjust to the scheme anyway. Ajax may get hurt again. JS is a rookie and may need to learn his job.
When Aaron Brewer is your anchor, well, it says something.
That said, if nobody gets hurt, you should be solid enough to be totally adequate in the operation of the offense.
Exactly. It should be significantly better at guard with Daniels and Savaiinaea.
Paul is a downgrade from Armstead, but could still turn out to be a plus left tackle. Armstead was just so good, when healthy.
Depth could be an issue. Who backs up Brewer, as one example. But overall I think the offensive line is better on paper.
If ALL are healthy then you have:
Ajax - great against run, average against pass (overall top15 RT)
Savaii - rookie, expected to be good against run, above average against pass (unknown, hopefully top40 OG)
Brewer - average to above average across the board (overall top10 C)
Daniels - average to above average across the board (overall top20 OG)
Patrick Paul - somewhat unknown, should hopefully be good against run, and hopefully average against the pass (unknown, hopefully top20 LT)
So IF all are healthy AND the rookie and PP both are at least solid, you have a 7th-17th ranked OL here, should be the best we’ve had in a decade.

The only position better last year was LT with Armstead, but the upgrade from Jones and Eich to Savaiinaea and Daniels outweighs it imo. Should definitely have a better line, and also remember with Tuas quick passing that pressure up the middle thru the guards is the key to stopping us, so if we have more stout guys at POA that don’t get pushed back into Tuas lap I think that’s gonna be a huge help, not to mention the short yardage benefits of having 2 much better guardsHow about this year healthy vs last year healthy?
A couple of answers on that. First of all, Wynn is NEVER healthy... he's missed more games than Armstead. He's EXACTLY the type of player we don't want.I rewatched an abbreviated version of the 2024 49ers game this morning, and was a bit shocked at how well the line performed that day. The 49ers had a nice front, and they did manage to pressure Tua some, but man.....they really held their own with Wynn taking 50% of Eich's snaps, and Lamm filling in for Jackson. None of the 3 former graded well in run blocking last year, but they found a way to make it work on that occasion.
All that to say that I'm a bit surprised that they brought back Eich over Wynn, who would likely settle for a similar minimum contact at this point and provide better Tackle flexibility in a worst case scenario.
