Is Rivers better than Fiedler Now

No we need a veteran for a year definitely. What do you think the Vikings did with Cunningham and George to protect a very raw Culpepper.

With how ineffective Fiedler is, why not start Rivers if we get him. Either way we will rely on Ricky, so why not get Rivers the experience so he might be ready by mid year. He wont be any worse than fiedler. That reason alone we should start him. It cant hurt our offense anymore, and will help in the long run (the long run being the end stretch of next season). Get him in asap.

If we draft Rivers and start him immediately we better be prepared to miss the playoffs again, cuz that's exactly what's going to happen. Whoever we draft, is gonna need a year to get up to speed.
Noone knows how a QB will perform at a proffesional level, but it's pretty safe to say that he won't perform like Marino in his rookie year.
This orginization would be the laughing stock of the NFL if we passed on another veteran and put this team in the hands of a rookie.

Correct and if we keep Fiedler and start him again we are not going to be in the playoffs So we draft Rivers and get Brunell,Garcia, Gannon, McMahon or anyone in FA market:goof:
