Is Roth a disappointment?

let's not judge too quickly guys. let's remember it took jason taylor a few years (i think it was his 3rd year) til he broke out and had a great season. i rememberr him being just mediocre with some flashes and people saying he was too soft against the run, and i remember him coming into that 3rd or 4th season and people wondering if he was going to be the real deal or not. So let's not get too critical of roth this year. It takes some guys a couple of years to get stronger, and learn how to play the nfl game at the highest level.

He's niether a disappointment or a success, you're about six months (minimum) too early to judge that.

True, but I'll go with Sabans comments that he is getting better and better.

Patience is definitely not a common practice on these message boards!

LOL

Actually his play along with Crowder's and Daniel's has eased my fear of our aging D. Granted those three alone are not going to make our D young, but it is a sign of how decent drafting can infuse youth to a team. NOW, if only our oline can get the same help, or just start playing well together...

By December we'll know. He has alot of learning to do, but he has Jason Taylor and Kevin Carter to learn from. He has the right sort of attitude on the field, so I imagine that he'll make huge improvements this year.

I think the youth on the D is looking good.

Vickerson, Wright, Roth, Crowder, Moore, Poole, Bell, Mitchell, Daniels.

I think that is a stigma around here. A majority of fans want to see changes right now! Well your tickets are bought, the car is filled with gas, but we didn't start the engine yet.

I like what I see outta Matt Roth. He has a lot of energy and doesn't give up on the play(great motor). Sometimes that takes him out of postion because is is overly aggressive. That is something the coaches will work on and can easily be taught.Me thinks Matt will tear it up late in the season and wind up with 8 sacks.

Lets Give The Kid A Chance The Phins Havent Even Played A Resl Game Yet.rome Was Not Built In A Day

Crowder has been the most impressive rookie so far IMO, Daniels doesn't look out of place, and Roth, you can see is oozing with potential, and after the game vs Bears he has looked much better.

havent heard anything about him

Maybe you should pay attention when he's getting CONSTANT pressure on the QB and actully got a sack or two during the game. And mabe if you'd come out from under a rock, you can also read about Saban giving him praise and saying he had the best game agaisnt Pitt so far. What the h3ll is wrong with people?? We havent played 1 stinking game yet and your already tagging him a failure? I'm calling you a DEFINITE FAILURE AS A FAN! This forum is starting to REALLY get under my skin. Bunch of culo cagados in here picking their noses.:fire:

Look at the F_ _ _ing Home page of this Site. And watch the games. Or just OPEN YOUR EYES!

The biggest rookie dissappointment has been Brown

He had a whole week to learn the playbook and get in football shape yet he wasn't good enough to play one single down against Pittsburgh. Maybe we should trade him while we still can get 5th round value out of him.

;)
