dirwuf;1065010946 As for Tannehill said:stats show that QB's rarely get much better after two years of starting[/B], and I need to see more out of him before I put us in the category of being set at QB...
Care to back that up?
That's because 1,000 pass attempts are thought to represent the "magic number" of starting experience for quarterbacks in the NFL, the inevitable exceptions to the rule notwithstanding. QBs typically average about 500 attempts in a year of starting, hence the "two years" estimate you're talking about.Looking for the study that I read, hope to find it soon...basically said the biggest jump a QB will make is between their first and second full years of starting, and by the end of their second full year, most have plateaued near the level where they will remain.

We have bookend defensive ends who combined for 20 sacks last season and that doesn't include the potential of Dion Jordan.
We almost had two 1,000 WRs and we finally have a true quarterback to build around. The fact that we finally have a franchise quarterback is a big reason to be excited every year no matter what other drama is going on. Teams like the Jaguars, Bills, Jets, Browns, Raiders, etc. currently don't have a franchise quarterback and currently have less hope then us.
