Miami was gone in the divisional round.

The Giants were 13-3 and dominant on defense. Might be "ugly" to you but they were a pretty damn good team.
fins were 12-4 cant win with u , youre one of the negative people on this site always disputing never talking

I'm looking forward to it...in hopes of the Steelers shutting all the Seahawk bandwagon jumpers up.

The Ravens v. Giants game was not good. I was not interested in that game at all.

Pardon me, I thought the purpose of a discussion board was to discuss, not have 300 people nod and agree with what the poster just said. As far as calling other people "negative", take a look at the title of your thread.

I was merely stating Miami was not even really in contention for the title that year. They had to basically get a holding call to squeak by the Chiefs and their defense couldn't stop the Bills in that seasaw 44-34 game (which really annoyed me at the time). They didn't make the AFC Championship again until 1992. You were making it sound like a 49ers-Dolphins rematch was imminent when Miami didn't even make the conference championship game.

Also, what bearing that has on the fact that that Super Bowl was a good game is beyond me.

i dont get it, are you trying to say that these teams suck?

IMO this is going to be one of the best SB games in recent memory cause i think this will be a hard fought close game
and Pitt will take it in a nailbiter

I will still watch the SB even though I don't care for either team.

This Super Bowl has intrigue
Steelers-Can Cowher finally win a title, and will the Bus retire with a ring, Roeslisberger 2nd youngest QB to start a Super Bowl
Seahawks-First Super Bowl ever

And based on pairings not how the game actually was
Rams-Patriots was the most boring matchup

Yea, that game was billed to be one big blowout...for some stupid reason (even though the Pats had played them neck and neck in the regular season, everybody was picking the Rams by a longshot)

For me the worst superbowls were the 49ers and cowboys wins in the early 90s. Those teams were so much better than the rest of the league all you needed to do was just play the San Fran/Cowboys game and that was meaningful game of the season.
This year I'm interested because we've got 2 good teams who are playing good football, and the likelihood of a blowout is small. It wouldn't surprise me to see the game still in the balance deep into the 4th quarter.

Those 49ers and cowboys superbowls in the early 90s were only in the balance up to the toin coss.

This is a great matchup btw 2 very exciting teams. On yuor list everyone knoew Bal would rush NYG and NYG was ab fraud and also everyone knew SF would crush SD. Buf-NYG a borring mathcup? Did you follow the NFL back then? oh and it's only the best SB of all time.

You are so right. The NFC Championship game was effectively the Superbowl in te early nineties ... except for that year that Pittsburgh came close. McDonnell! :(
