totally, we sure drafted enough #1's at RB. but then again, you never saw Lo Hampton or Sammie Smith racking up yards once left they the Fins. The one RB that was special in the Marion era was David Overstreet and we all know the tragedy of his untimely death. :cry: That guy could flat out burn; but still you'd have to wonder if he'd ever get the carries to get to 1000 with Dan back there.Originally posted by Dajesus
Why do you think we didn't have any 1000 yard rushers for so many years? I think it more to do with a lack of comitment to the run more than anything else. When you have Dan back there it is very easy to abandon your running game. We also didn't have a very good defense for a long time making it harder to have patience with the run.
