I was just reading the new article by JLC(I know, I know), believe me it wasn't for his writing but for the quotes in there. One of people who interviewed for the GM position was quoted as saying, "it's a total rebuild on the offensive line". He also said that Pouncey might not be willing to play for the 1.7 Mil he's due this year, and could be looking to become the highest paid at his position. That got me to thinking, could we possibly shop Pouncey for a 1st, and two 2nds or a 2nd and 3rd and bring in some vets through FA like Mack and Collins. Then with the extra picks draft a Zach Martin, or Taylor Lewan and a skill position player like Cj Mosely, Eric Ebron or Calvin Pryor in the first and solidify the rest of the line with the other extra picks we would receive.

Just a thought, don't kill me please. Discuss.

Highly unlikely. But no damn way I'm paying Pouncey top C money unless he becomes a leader of a much improved O line and he keeps his friggen name out of the papers this year.

wont be surprised, we're so good at trading our best players. Brandon Marshall one year, Vontae Davis the next. We draft them cut or trade them its the Miami way !

We need four o linemen you dont cut a pro bowler and make it five - that would be utterly insane

Concern youself with getting a lt to replace that liability we currently have.

You think that if we were going to trade him, we could get a 1st, a 2nd, and a 3rd for him? If someone offered that, I'd say jump all over it, but no GM in his right mind is going to offer that much for him.

You DO NOT TRADE your pro bowlers. We would have no o-line either!

Jeez...

Mack will command higher money than Pouncey and if he were really about to try to holdout for a new contract he doesn't have much of a leg to stand on at this point. Last year wasn't his greatest and the whole line is partially responsible for the record amount of sacks

I wish we could use his athleticism at guard and get a center that doesn't tip off the snap every play.

Laughable how people seemingly want to replace a pro bowl player on an OL that needs to replace the other 4 OL positions. Like we dont have enough holes on this OL, yeah, lets create another one.

Only a team run by a bunch of dumbasses would trade a pro bowl lineman when o line is the weakest position on the team. Sadly, I really wouldn't put it past them.

Pouncey s/b kept for continuity. I'd like to see if Benton can help fix the tipping issue.

Also, perhaps Benton can mold Yeatman (if resigned) into a above average OT.
