its gonna hurt for me to watch

I have liked Sammy since he got here. I could never understand why he wasn't the full time starter last year. He always makes plays.
I think he will be fired up tomorrow. He will be a good change of pace for Ricky. I rather have Ronnie rest then risk further injury.

this aint baseball there is no lifetime ban, in fact if he stays clean for 2 years he has a clean slate.

I think what he meant is if ricky messes up one more time there isnt a team in the league that would take him (thats what he means when saying lifetime ban) he's been given an opportunity and he cant afford to mess it up again...

as it stands now im sure teams look at it that way too.. why would team X want to trade a 3rd or even a 4th for a guy who has such a tarnished history? not only with smoking weed.. but up and leaving the team.. social anxiety problems etc.. he really isnt worth the risk to other teams. especially when theres more and more decent backs coming out in the draft and FA.

I really dont think Ricky has much of an interest in playing ball for any other team. Which increases the chances of him up and leaving again if he were to be traded. There isnt a team out there that wouldnt make a pick "conditional" so we would get screwed with the pick too..

rickey will be here, unless we get a first even than saben would have a difficult decision letting go of the best back up running back in the league, we definately need him

This just plays right into Saban's hand. Ronnie is not seriously injured and will recover 100%. Nick has 2 more games left to feature Ricky Williams for trade bait, and you better believe he will. If Ricky totally goes off against the Titans and has a solid game against the Patriots some team may trade down in the first round of the draft to get him, and allow us to get our QB of the future. Contrary to popular belief Ricky Williams does have trade value.

absolutely!

Ricky Williams will be here next season. Contary to Rosentwit's opinion there simply isn't any reason to trade him.

Tell me why would you trade a RB (who is better than Brown at running the ball) for a mid round pick? Nobody is going to give us a #1.

:french:

Give ricky 40 carries today. Give him a chance to prove he is still an elite back. Ricky should be giving the chance to show what he can do today. Whether it be for another team in a trade or for us in the future. He needs to prove he is still a great player and Saban needs to let him run wild on the Titans

I like Ricky and all but I get pissed EVERYTIME we take Brown out of the game. When we went on our wonderful losing streak Brown was the main reason I could stand watching. You never know whats going to happen.

I think we have to, unfortunately. :( Our team is not good enough all around to afford the luxury of having two Pro Bowl caliber running backs. We have too many holes! If we can secure our franchise QB we have so desperately needed for the last 6 years by trading our BACK UP RUNNING BACK we must pull the trigger.

I actually can't wait to see what type of numbers Ricky will get carring the full load. But it's a shame that Ronnie wont get 1000 yards this year. :(

don't trade ricky! A guy like Ricky getting paid the vets minimum is huge.

Not to mention you are seeing the value of having him today. Without Ricky, Nick would either start Ronnie, and take a chance on further injuring our franchise back, or have a huge drop off in the running game. With Ricky, we have the luxury of still having an elite back and strong running game while resting our stud. He costs about as little as a backup rb can, and he led the league in rushing a few years ago. I'd want pretty big compensation to give that up, probably bigger than anyone would be willing to give.

You mean it'll be nice when he gets it against the Pats!;)

I agree! Ronnie deserves 1000. The only thing that kept him from it was Linehan's questionable playcalling early in the year and Saban's need to split the time between Ronnie and Ricky. Saban is the man, but that is the one questionable thing he has done IMO.

Also is it confirmed that Ronnie will not play?? I haven't heard anything official.

I am he is such an electrifying player; his presence will be missed...

Great sig, great avatar and greatest band ever.

Ricky needs to stay put in miami....i think its great having 2 probowl caliber backs...specially in situations like this with one guy hurt....Ricky has still got it and just needs to bulk up a bit in the offseason to get some of his power back.
