it's late...i'm half drunk...i'm thinking of driving to canton

Yep, Yep... It's great indeed. Nothing like getting out an experiencing as much as you can, while you can. I just wish I could remember all the places that I have been in my life. Most of my travelling, outside of Florida, was when I was 5 and my father(biological) was in the trucking industry after Vietnam. I saw a ton of states during that year before the divorce when I was 6.

The memory during that time that sticks out the most was our trip to Long beach california. We stopped at Hoover Damn on the roadway overlooking the spillway and I refused to get out of the cab! Talk about a long way down! My next memory of that trip was swallowing about 800 gallon of Pacific salt water on Long Beach. :rofl3:

I think I left out where the truck broke down in Arizona and I got to see my first TRUE roadrunner. For me, that was a hoot. ;) I grew up on warner borthers cartoons after all.

I went to the beach a few years ago with nothing but a tent. The few days we were there it was great. I've been down to Gainesville in Fla. Up to NY. But the greatest trip was taking I-40 to Cali. When I was in Arizona, all I thought about was scorpions and snakes.

I'll probably take off to Las Vegas next, I've never been there.

I was thinking of making the drive from Colorado as well....I-70 all the way for about 1000 miles to Canton....but damn, I dont have any tickets....I think the HOF ceremony should be FREE...charge for the game, but dont charge the fans for wanting to see Dan...that's wrong. I'll be watching the ceremony on tv wearing one of Phins jerseys and trying not to get misty eyed.

Dear lord man! Do not take I-70 all the way! Whatever you do avoid the drive through Kansas! Lest you want to go mad! That's by far the most mind numbing experience you could ever put yourself through! I am placing this picture for you as it is all you will ever see for 6 hours(seems like eternity) on I-70.

Notice, I was nice and included one of the few spots you may actually see some trees in-route.

uh...ok....by the way, have you ever lived a day in your life??

Will you ask that question to the people you kill when you have an accident because of your drunken stupidity?

Not a chance. Just stay home and watch it from the safety of your own house, when you're sober you'll realize that driving to another state on a whim isn't the best idea.

Well **** that's what I'm doing. I talked to someone who had 2 extra tickets 2 days ago and just decided to go. You shouldn't have any problems finding tickets.

Did you not read the post? He's not driving drunk, he's drunk right now.

Have you ever seen the movie Road Trip??

"You're 18 years old and you're a ****in' sissy!!"
I'm not a ****ing sissy, dude. I'm just not one for the idea of sobering up only to realize you're halfway across the country and you have no place to stay, and possibly nothing to do (since I imagine the tickets have been long sold out).
That movie sucked by the way.

Okay, I apologize.

Way to read the entire thread only to come up with that conclusion. He specifically stated that he has no plans, nor would he ever, drive drunk. He was merely stating that he is a bit impaired now and is contemplating making the drive tomorrow(sober).

Halfway across the country? I live in NC and it's only a 7 hour drive to Ohio.

And I'm saying that he's not in the right state of mind to make that decision. He's drunk and made a point to mention it. He'll wake up tomorrow a little late, probably hungover and think to himself "**** Canton, why is everything so bright?"

I guess I assumed he's in Florida and exaggerated the "halfway across the country" part. If he is in Florida it would be about a day-long drive, I think.

 You haven't driven up and down Florida. Makes you want to gouge your own eyes out. 600 miles of the same damn thing, unless you drive up A1A.

I have made the trip on I-70 many times and also have gone through Nebraska (equally bad), but I could go through most of this at night and miss all the "scenery," although you can still detect the feed lots.
