Its only preseason

2004 Preseason Standings

Jets 3-1
Dolphins 2-2
Bills 1-3
Pats 1-3

Eagles 1-3, Browns, Titans 3-1. Only 4-0 team was 7-9 Carolina...

It's not that preseason doesn't matter, or that nothing can be learned from preseason results. The win/loss record of preseason has notoriously resisted any correlation whatsoever with regular season win/loss records, and that's just a statistical fact. You can learn a lot about the team from preseason, but you have to know what you are looking for, what you are seeing, and which things will translate in what way to the regular season. It is very difficult seeing preseason performances and translating that in any real way to the regular season.

In this case, I think a lot of people are suffering sleepless nights over things that probably won't correlate well into the regular season. On the other hand, Saban is having a few sleepless nights over the things that really ARE likely to translate to the games that matter...and those are the things that concern me as well.

Even if those things didn't exist, I am sure Saban would have a few sleepless nights wondering why they don't exist.

yeah. Losman looks awesome :shakeno:

you should be VERY worried.

Losman looks like we need him to... no mistakes, no INT's no dangerous passes... converting 3rd downs with his feet, getting the ball in the endzone..

Keep hoping he'll suck.

You guys are so screwed.

It's not the record in preseason that matters. It's what the team is showing in their games. And our offense has shown us NOTHING. Nothing that says we've improved on last year.

No dangerous passes???....It was sure good to see him hang Moulds out to dry this week. Keep up the good work, if you're lucky, Evans wont suffer the same fate before the season starts....

Moulds - Hung out to dry - Banged up / Parrish - OUT / Evans - Lucky he's still on two legs...

PHINZ RULE!!

Thats my point.....

But winning dosen't hurt either.

The guys winning and losing games are your teams depth.... If your 2nd and 3rd teamers are getting smoked its not a good sign...

It was a high pass, no doubt, but nobody was gonna catch it but Moulds.

Parrish was hurt in practice diving for a ball that Holcomb threw
