It's Philbin against the world.

Jesus, Tannehill looked nervous as hell/shell schocked during that interview. Now we are going to have a quarterback who is struggling, knows he is struggling, play with the fear of trying to not lose his job. Not screwing up will be in the back of his mind every throw and more than likely it will lead to worse play, not better. Could Philbin have screwed his QB anymore?

Hopefully Dan or Lazor are able to have a heart to heart sit down meeting with Tannehill were they tell him to **** it, let the chips fall where they my and just play.

That's the last worry on my mind. If this actually breaks the QB, then Joe will have done us a favor by showing to us that he wasn't mentally tough enough to deal with it. I don't think the QB is going to break mentally.

I think Joe Philbin is on the fast track to locker room turmoil, though.

Its joe Philbin against Joe Philbin right now...

Well he can use it as motivation and tear it up Sunday or he can continue to play the way he has been and then he will be getting replaced before he knows it

I am thinking along those lines as well. Dan, Ryan, & Bill all need to meet when Joe is out on shoelace inspection and clear the air.

The psyche of an athlete is a delicate thing. Some respond to threats and yelling by improving their play, while other's wilt. Some just need to know that you are standing behind them no matter what and then their play level rises. Whatever Philbin thinks he is trying to do to help Tannehill, based on that video, it's doing the opposite.

I'm sick of this year after year. Sick of having to start thinking about a new HC and the draft before the season is half way through every single year.

The meatball & Henning did something similar to Chad & it was the straw that broke the camel's back. I hope that RT isn't as fragile as Henne.

After having such high hopes for him going into year 2, I've done a radical 180° on Philbin. Very disappointed in his on and off the field poor judgements. Let Hickey hire his replacement.

I think Tannehill is tough mentally, and if he's rattled right now, its because the coaches (not just Philbin) gave him an ass chewing about his play. I doubt he's worried about what Philbin said in a presser. Besides, is there anyone out there that actually though Tannehill was going to get benched?

I agree but the season is still a long one.......another year wasted.

Same here. This team has no reason anymore to play for their coach. We're screwed until Philbin gets the boot.

That is total BS. Tannehill has a possible 100 million dollar contract to play for. Every player on that team is playing to keep their jobs. Nonsense.

Philbin sucks but that was just a ridiculous statement.
