I'm sorry to say, but regardless of our giving a 2nd round pick to the Eagles, AJ Feeley has to go. To me you just can't factor in what we gave up for him because it is a sunk cost. We need to factor in his production and ability to manage the game. Sadly, we can clearly see, the guy just doesn't have that ability. I suppose, he could be our 3rd stringer, but I'm to the point where I think that might be a waste of time. This is not like a Steve Young in Tampa situation where if Feeley were in the right system and with the right team, might flourish. I believe we could have the league best offensive line and he would still throw the short touch passes to hard, fail to look off defenders, and make bad decisions. Although Frerotte hasn't faired much better, I believe he makes better decisions, and gives us a better chance to win. At this point, I would like to see Frerotte as our starter, and Rosenfels as the #2. If by chance, when he starts playing with the big boys, Rosenfels starts to show us more than Frerotte then let's move him in as our starter.

Yea cut him and save 3mill so we can sign an olineman or watever.

sure why not....save us $3 mill......

That's a good point, I wasn't even considering what we are paying him. Can we use that 3 million on someone else who might help us? At this point, I'm willing to give it a try.

Steve

Yes, get rid of him. Cut our losses and move on. He should have been gone after last season's crap anyway.

i agree, he a waste of roster space. cut him, and sign rohan...

Sign Couch, bring back Berlin, but yes cut our losses, This guy hasn't improved one bit from the time he got here.......Of coarse this move will have Db's all over the league come to tears...........

That's where you are wrong...it'll cost us $$1.1 against the cap...

Nick can not let this guy start no less be the number 2 QB....he is so shaky it's unbelieveable. Good riddance (sp?).

I agree. The guy is a touchdown throwing machine .... just to the wrong team.

It's hard to imagine a Quarterback playing worse than Frerotte did last week ( 9 for 25 - 1 pick) , :D but AJ was able to take it to another level. With all the minicamps, preseaason, etc, it's hard to believe anyone could perform so poorly. As far as cutting AJ consider "Da Bears". When Grossman went down, they elevated Chad Hutchinson to starter, he went 3 for 14 and was cut the next week, what will be Feeley's fate?
