It's time to cut Feeley

You never throw a season, but with the fish the way they are, I would cut anyone that will not be on the team in 2006 to free up money for good players we can get now for 2006, even if it means we will not be good this year because of holes created.

Although it would lead to a bad 2005, I would be fine with it, because we could very well repeat last year if something does not change fast. And I would say enless somethings change fast it couldbe a worse year as a fan because the games might not be close like last year. We could win 5 or 6 instead of 4 and still have a harder time watching the games if the rest are all blowouts.

From a business stand point they need to give us more wins or continued change for the future.

How is Gus exponentially "HORRIBLE"??? I see a guy that can at least command a huddle, not prance around, control the flow of play, and not look like a deer in headlights. About the only problem I see with Gus is his accuracy.

AJ is inaccurate, can't stay healthy, can't command a huddle, can't control play, looks like a deer in headlights, gets flustered wy too easy, has no touch. I 100% do not see any one thing athletically AJ does better than Gus or Sage that warrants him being better in.

Well, I'm still waiting for you to answer your own question..all you did was tell me that AJ was bad (which he was), but you failed to tell me how Gus was any better ?? The fact is....Gus is no better than Feeley except that he has experience in the offense...also, and I hate to bring this up..but the OL for Feeley was horrible...did you see the pick 6 play ?? Feeley was clobbered as he let go the ball...the center whiffed...Gus at least had some time to throw...oh, BTW...Gus didn't throw anything over about 6 yards...

I'll also admit that we probably weren't showing Atlanta much in either QBs case...(i.e. vanilla offense)...

I guess my problem is that I have seen too much over the years of Gus tanking every opportunity he gets...He'll do it again...wait and see...

Man Gus says it himself, "I've been competing for 12 years". He is not a #1 period.

For that, you have to consider who has what they term "intangibles". Although, he doesn't bring much more, Gus does have more in that department. He gives us a better chance to win. I think the coaches agree, and I guess we will see in a matter of weeks.

Actually, the last game is only part of the reason I called for him to be let go. After last year, and now this year, I have seen enough. I don't need another year of the same ole, same ole, to know we need a new young QB. As for making threads you don't approve of, there is a simple solution. Simply don't read it, or reply to it if you do read it, and don't like it. That's what most of us do. It helps keeps the blood pressure down ;)

Yea but i also sed i think we should give him another chance he has alot of pressure on him but i think he should learn how to handle it so i trust saban what ever he wants to do i agree with.

Using this mentality, we should start Sage, which if we are going to go the route you suggest, I don't have a problem with. At least Sage has shown he can hit open WR's consistantly. Something both AJ and Gus haven't done. Let's plug Sage in and let him get a year of experience!
I have no problem with allowing Sage a chance. He was a 4th Rd pick & has also shown some ability. It always comes back to what coaches think of a player & how secure they are. Most coaches would rather play with a known mediocrity than a unknown.

I think he means that hes been through training camps and training camp competitions before..... no more......no less.

People need to stop holding out hope that feeley is going to be a star. It isnt going to happen. No need to keep him here.
Haven't seen anyone say he will be a star.

This is just like with Brees. He was basically horrible for 3 years and SD stayed with him and look how he delieved last year.

Yet we are suppose to think AJ is horrible after a handful of games. Too many Miami fans have no backbone to stay the course.

Brees had quite a bit of pedigree coming out of Purdue. Feeley has an arm and toughness. That doesn't always do it at the pro level.

Bingo. Its all about initial perception of a player. No one like the AJ trade to begin with and when he struggled it simply gave them more to bash him with.

I still remember being in my buddies dorm room when I looked online and saw that we passed on Drew Brees in the draft, baffling draft predictions of us grabbing him.
I forgot who we got but I think it was Morlon Greenwood.

Gus and Feeley both suck. The difference is Feeley comes with a heavier price tag.

It's kind of like McDonald's and Burger King. Both are crappy food not worth eating - except just imagine if one of them cost $3.3 million! Time to move on to the next restaurant...
...time to move on to the next QB...
