Ive never felt like this during a draft before

We still have not addressed our LB situation. Wheeler is a dumpster fire. We have no run defense. Without good linebackers, more of the same next year.

couldn't agree more. I think we will take the mlb from Louisville later but who knows. The nack on him is the coverage skills. I hope Jordan plays slb with misi in the middle.

Nope. The friggin Bills took him -_-

Im a huge homer and usually can talk myself into loving our drafts, but this year I just don't get it. I know that all the picks so far have been solid picks, but to start trading down with arguably the best talent on the board and missing out on some playmakers, but not trade down in the first? wtf is going on in that draft room? james is a solid pick and im not pissed that we picked him, but we could have traded down and still got him. Then with all the playmakers that were on the board during the second and we trade down not once but twice? im pissed off and confused. again solid and safe picks.... but come on....
let the hate begin

anything faster than 4.7? Can take it to the house on any play?

like Ted Ginn?

Which is what we need the most imo. We don't have that spark to our team.

the spark is Wallace if we can keep Tanny off his ass...which is what 2 of the 3 picks are intended to do

Not since Shula

The oline players will start out of necessity. We have nothing in the cupboard. It will take years to build a dominant oline.
Landry? Who does he replace on the field? Wallace, Hartline, Gibson, Matthews? He will play special teams.

Who says these three are starters? Landry will replace who? Wallace, Hartline or Gibson?

What makes you think our third round pick will transition well to guard?

Meanwhile we pass on Hyde, a playmaking bruising back who can block get goal line yards and catch (and not fall on contact like Moreno and Miller) and we pass on Borland, who could have allowed us to put aside garbage wheeler.

I see the trend is to act optimistic and call everyone who hates this draft a crybaby, but there are legitimate question marks.

you are right. though laundry will have some real competition where the other two wont. I needed time to vent, and calm down. I think its bc I really wanted a playmaker a te or a rb that could actually break tackles

Having since learned the reality about the overblown 40-time, I think Landry is a great compliment to Wallace and Hartline might be on the outside looking in. That game he had up in Buffalo is just unacceptable. He just can not beat traffic or keep his balance and get critical YAC. Landry sounds like the guy who can make the critical plays and actually be a legit red zone target.

I choosing to think positive at this point. I got a well-deserved smack down already tonigh cuz I spazzed about that overblown 40 time.

From what I've read tonight, I feel good about Hickey's plan.

I agree this guy is going to replace hartline if he cant get healthy. he will definitely replace him after this year

This draft has been very workman like, nothing flashy. Right now the best pick is probably the division II guard. But again, he could have fallen another round.
James was a reach and we should have traded down, and I would have rather taken Tre Mason instead of Landry.
The team is following their draft board. I am concerned about our scouting department.
Farmer had more to work with, but he has made the most of his position. Hickey is playing it safe with mediocre players.
I want quality, not quantity.

I'll just about guarantee Landry changes your mind and you'll forget Mr. Mason by week 2-3.

I think we've gotten some guys who will help, but this draft seemed to be one that was gonna deliver a lot of high value in the second and third rounds, so it's a little odd that we decided to give ourselves less opportunities at these guys and instead went out go get more picks that are more often than not camp fodder. Besides the o-line, I think what this team needs is not 5-6 more average players in camp, but instead a couple more impact players. This team was 8-8 even with what is pretty universally regarded as one of the worst gameday staffs in the league, so I don't think its more average that we need, its more impact that we need to overcome the mediocrity that is Joe Philbin.

Take your pick. His talents will not be wasted on special teams. He is WAYYY too polished of a WR. Not a chance.

Y'all remember OJ McDuffie? This guy is a bigger OJ McDuffie and McDuffie was a 1st round pick.

I think of the 2013 draft class as an extension of this years draft. Jordan, Jenkins, and Taylor will all be major contributors on the defensive end and we have drafted instant, reliable starters to put around Tannehill this year on the offensive side.
