Jaguars sign Chad Henne to push Blaine Gabbert

henne looks like marino , as do most qbs next to gabbert.

henne should be starting in jacksonville week 1, because hes a lot better than gabbert, which does not say much.

smart move on his part to sign there, his most realistic chance of getting his 2nd chance.

Henne & Gabbert .... might push each other down the drain for the #1 pick Barkley.

They have to be one of the BIG favorites!!

make fun of henne all you want, I'll go on record that barring major changes in the roster for the phins... the jags finish with a better record than us next year.

I'll be honest, Philbin might have been able to use Henne in productive ways.

I agree, I think Chad got the short end of the stick here and it is a shame that his season was cut short last year.

We are all laughing now but let's wait until 2012 is underway to judge his performance in a new environment and scheme. We've had so many QBs here, I'm starting to think its our franchise that screws up QBs and not the other way around. I mean we've had like 16 different QBs now and haven't found one that is even semi-decent and worth keeping?

Good luck to Chad. He was never brought along properly here because of the way Sparano and Company ruined his progression. I don't think we ever would have known how much he could have improved because every time he was on a roll, he was taken out of game to run some stupid wildcat play. Hate him or whatever but the guy at times showed he could make all the throws in the NFL. I used to rag on teams like the Lions for being basically a black hole for quarterbacks. The same can now be said about Miami since Marino left.

I watched just about every snap Henne took and I saw nothing special. Nothing a new HC, OC, scheme, etc. could turn into a legit starting QB.

Unless you had access to down field footage, then you had access to nothing. Major Network cameras don't show what is really going on. Most people just follow the football anyway...

I for one, am happy for Chad. That guy was a victim of some f**ked up coaching and was robbed of any semblance of being a leader. So I hope he unseats Gabbert and has a good year.

Thanks for your time as a Dolphin. Best of luck the rest of your career. Should light a fire under Gabberts rear
