Jake Delhomme an option for 2006?

I think Delhomme would be a good fit in our system. Do you think he's a guy they'd consider next year? He's due to be a FA, but Carolina might throw a frachise tag on him.

Also, how do you think he stacks up to Brees? Personally, I think he's better and has proven he can play in a big game.

I havnt followed the Panthers too much, but I think that he will just be another "maybe" for the fins. If we are not happy with the two we have already, pick up a true stud in FA and pay the price.

Peete retired. They drafted LeFors. But they still won't let Jake go.

Lefors looked very good in the preseason games I caught on NFL Network.

I think that if we dont draft a QB, then we will be trading for Philip Rivers. What the compensation will be? That I dont know.

On the Sports Machine last wek they said he signed a 5 year extension last year so he's not gonna be a free agent

where did you get this info? I thought for sure they restructured and extended Delhomme's contract prior to the beginning of last year.

I would have agreed with you before the end of last year. He did make that team look respectable with little help. I don't think Carolina will be letting him go, but jury is still out this year on how good he is.
