Jake Delhomme an option for 2006?

George Micheal was doing a feel good story about Jake Dehlome making it to the Super Bowl and he said something about it and then I remembered hearing about it too. But also he had some killer stats last year on a team hampered by injuries so if he's available I would take him.

I keep going back to the trade that got pulled out from under us a few years ago. Matt Hasselback! He would sure look good right know (If he would have survived the Wanny years)

Can we get a freakin QB through the draft? The real good ones won't be available at FA

I agree we need our own home grown qb for heavens sake.

i dont think he is that good. he did not "lead them to the SB. there defense did. i wouldnt want the game in his hands.

just because he played on a SB team, does not mean hes even an above average player.

Huh? Are you insane? He outplayed Brady in that Superbowl loss. He had 3 TD's and either 1 INT or none, can't remember. NE won BECAUSE Carolina's defense let them down on that last FG drive, it was like 3 passing plays and a Vinateri kick in about 30 seconds!

I think he may have signed an extension, not sure. If so it renders my thread crapola, sorry...

could you remind of the trade please... thanks.

yeah but drafted QB's are expencive, we can only give a 4 year conract becasue of the CBA, and if they're a bust then we're set back 2-3 moe years so if we can find a good young QB in FA then there's nothing wrong wtih that

so now hes better than brady? Jake is not even in the top 15 QBs in the NFL.

he played well in the SB, good for him, they still lost. i dont think that when a team game plans agenst the panthers that they spend a majority of the time talking about how Jake can beat them.

honestly, i would rather have P. Rivers on my team. atleast he has a chance to become a great QB in this league.

I havnt followed the Panthers too much, but I think that he will just be another "maybe" for the fins. If we are not happy with the two we have already, pick up a true stud in FA and pay the price.

DOn't think so. Delhomme is truly underrated and is a playmaker. But Carolina would never let himgo.

Ch...we won't be getting Jake because of his contract extension and the fact that he is becoming a top tier QB...They lost the SB but one player wasn't the reason...Jake did outplay Brady that particular game...I'm not saying that he is better than Brady, but Brady was outplayed THAT game...and you should look a little closer at him..he's going to be super...

But that doesn't solve our problem...I'd rather draft our own guy but he may not be available to us next year. We have to wait on that and live with Gusley...Either way, it'll be a long year...

You probably didn't watch his games then.

Every single game and or win he made a clutch 3rd or 4th quarter throw that either sealed the game or put them into position to win.

Just because his stats don't wow u don't hate on the guy for doing his job.

When he needed to make a throw or a completion HE WAS ALMOST 100% IN PRESSURE AND MUST NEED SITUATIONS.
