Jake Long trade rumored ?

Quality compensation starts with at least two first round picks.

This is just speculation from a website I never heard of. Long isn't getting traded.

I would say a first and some "elite" talent. But as you said, this is speculation and most likely Jake is staying here. I am open to the thought though, his new contract is gonna be through the roof no matter where he's at..

Do people really think this is possible?? Total pipe dream. It would cost us our 1 and 2 this year AND 1 and 2 next year along with someone like Long to move up that far.
Don't know the draft value chart, but that seems a little steep.

I think they would be interested in moving Jake, but I doubt they find a buyer. He is due $11m this year and will be a FA next. He will command to be the highest paid LT and honestly I am not sure he is worth it. He has been injured now two years in a row and struggles with speed rushers. Miami will be going to a WCO and Jake really isn't athletic enough to be an ideal lineman for the scheme. This will be his last year in Miami, so yes I think they would love to get something for him, but doubt there are any takers.

Wrong -

Our first and second and 1st and second next year - can get you second overall -without Long

Well I doubt its true but at right price why not. Lets trade this years number one next years number one and Jake Long for Luck, Wont haappen but i can dream

he was making an excuse in order to draft Kalil.

The website is garbage and seems like a made up rumor. But in reality I wouldn't be shocked if he is traded. Long is Tony Bosceli. Great linemen who is just has a ton of injuries. He will have a short career. If they could get a 1st or 2nd for him, or use him to swap up into the Top 2.....DO IT!

Unlikely though, who wants an injury prone high priced linemen who might be on the downside of his career because of all the injuries. Answer: NOBODY

Injury prone? He's only missed two games in his career and prior to this season, started and played in all 16 games in his first three seasons. I don't get this injury prone label some people put on Jake Long. Plus, I don't think he's going to slow down anytime soon...I mean he's only 26 years old! Sure he's been banged up, but when you play in the trenches, you are going to get knicked up every now and then. Besides, you don't trade away the anchor of our currently shaky OLine...not at this point.

He is not injury prone. I fully remember some jack*** coach that finally got ran out of town left him in for garbage time in a preseason game no less to prove a point and he got hurt against some third stringers. He also played injured that season with a brace on his shoulder and knee. Not to mentioned he would have played all of this season injured if he had not been but on IR.

I am going to create a website as obvious as this and make *every* rumor imaginable, because apparently that is all it takes to become a topic on a message board. This site is created by a random guy in Minnesota. He has zero information beyond what he reads on the internet.

jake long is turning into tony boselli and people need to wake up and realize this, both knees scoped, torn bicep, surgery on his shoulder, and back trouble, he was clearly not the same this year, get rid of him now while his stock is still high or wait till he wears down and were screwed.

you don't trade a guy while he's damaged goods and get pennys on the dollar because of it...if you were gonna trade him he'd have to be fully recovered from his torn bicep...and that doesn't happen in a month...so imo this at this point and time is bs

And in related news,

The Vikings are talking about trading AP to draft Trent Richardson and the Lions are talking about trading Calvin Johnson to draft Blackmon......
