Ummmm. He scored on that play because of his speed. That hole would have closed up on most runners. Second, he ran a punt back 97 yards for a score. Wrong night to hate on the guy.

BB could have offered the 6th or 7th anytime if he wanted him.......he didn't.

Please cite to me what player has a higher fumble per touch rate than Grant. Again, whether it was recovered or not is irrelevant to the conversation because that is literally out of the fumbling players hands. Grant has had 317 touches in the NFL and has fumbled 13 times. That….is a lot. Ted Ginn had over 1400 touches and 24 fumbles.

He might have tried. We don’t know he didn’t. He could have been his Kevin Faulk/Eric Metcalf/Dave Megget.

Apply the same denominator to the number of TDs scored (separate returns from receptions). Fumbling rates on returns are much higher in general than on receptions which is skewing Ginn’s numbers. Ginn was a good returner. Grant is better. Ginn was the better receiver and overall player, yes.
