Jamaal Brimmer and Junior Rosegreen released

Jammal Brimmer had a very successful college career. He is 6ft. 1in. 205lbs. but he runs a pedestrian 4.6 40-yard dash. His speed has always been the knock on him, but it seems like he has good football instincts. Afterall, he was a two-time Mountain West defensive player of the year. First Team All-American to go along with other accolades to his resume.

I would bring Brimmer in and see what he can do. Besides Tebucky Jones, Yeremiah Bell, and Lance Shulters. I don't have any faith in the rest of our backups, including Travares Tillman, Tony Bua, and Jack Hunt. Depending on how many safeties Saban plans on keeping, I would try to find a way to get Brimmer on our roster, or our practice squad. Brimmer has more upside at the safety position than Tillman, Hunt, and Bua; and he will be much cheaper than any of the other three players too. To be honest, I would cut Hunt, and Bua :couch:. There; I said it. I would like to see Bua on our team, but he is a total liability in pass coverage, and I think he will only be a special teams player on our team and I'm not sure if we have a roster spot for a guy to just play special teams.

Brimmer ran a 4.82 40 at the combine... that is why he went undrafted..

Jamaal Brimmer is on the verge of being retarted (he scored like a 2 on the wonderlic) and Junior Rosegreen got WAY overhyped on this site, never really done anything in college to constitute playing on the next level.

This is actually in response to your picture in your signature. All I have to say is that you're only as good as your last game. Last I checked the gators got bit in the arse in the last meeting. Go Dawgs!!!

Whoa, night of the living cynicism and pessimism I see. I'll come out and say it without fear infront of the firing squad -- I was one of the guys working the cogs on the Junior Rosegreen bandwagon last season. I have met this guy twice and he's a really nice guy. He's also a good player, has good speed and athleticism. He's a guy who can straight play and if he wasn't banged up through out most of his senior season, could've been picked VERY highly in the draft.

I'm not sure why everyone is routing these guys.

With all that in mind, I don't think we need any more safeties. I think(/hope) Lance is going to prove himself, I'm confident that Yeremiah Bell will work well and I'm sure Tebucky and Travares will do just fine.

we're good at safety.... we'll be fine with schulters, jones, tillman and bell.

I actually liked Rosegreen, but more than anything I loved the Reggie Brown UGA hit.
