James Looking Good vs Other 1st Rounders

I don't remember the dude getting a single holding call in the preseason and for any rookie to already avoid being an obvious chink the in armor that opposing Ds scheme against is a great testament to his ability to hold is own out there.

James had a holding penalty in the Tampa game on a DE who jumped inside of him on an outside running play.

Now we need two more right picks at LG and RG...although I think Turner can fill one of those spots eventually.

I think Turner could easily be a good starter, maybe even later this year. Being between Albert and Pouncey would help. I'm not giving up on Dallas, and think Brenner could develop into something, at least a VG backup.

With turf toe it may become difficult for Turner to move forward. That's a tough injury.

Dallas is done in my book. I'm moving on.

I just got Madden 15 today, and I am very impressed by Larsen, Turner and James lol. I have them playing on my 1st team all throughout the pre-season and they are dominating.

Just from the eyeball test I like him a lot. He looks pretty athletic, pretty solid at the point of attack, he plays hard and gets out to the 2nd level. Yeah he hasn't been perfect but if he kept the starting job competing against Wake every day he must be putting in some serious work. He gets an A grade from me so far. Great job Hickey for showing that good lineman can be found in the draft.

James has been solid so far.

He's a tough kid. Although he went to high school with my son at North Gwinnett, he's originally from Paterson. Not too many pansies come out of Paterson, NJ.

I hope he continues to do well.

LOL, many years ago, my first job out of college while getting my MBA at nite, was selling health care products to new jersey warehouse distributors and then having to pull the orders through their various pharmacies they stocked. I specifically remember one old pharmacist in Patterson advising me even back then to be careful, look over my shoulder and keep my zipper up. You're so right, that's a tough place to grow up.

Matthews struggling has been surprising and his move to LT was because Baker got hurt and may be gone for the season for the Falcons.

Zach Martin has looked solid at RG.

Robinson has incredible potential but he's probably having issues picking up the playbook given he played for Gus Malzhan and his "color by numbers" playbook. Anyone remember Cam Newton's interview with John Gruden...."give me a play"....Newton "38"....Gruden..."38??"...Newton..."Yeah, 38 that's a play". It's not like Robinson went to a school that actually cared about his education lol. It's going to take some time but I'm pretty sure he'll get it.

Lewan, to me, was an enigma. Talent he has, the head is what I question.

I NEVER knew this/saw Gruden Camp with Newton. I would have FELL OFF THE COUCH if I had seen it.

I bet a little bit of Gruden died that day. Can you imagine what was racing through his head AFTER the echoing of "HOLY $!$!" stopped?!

Yea the fact he gets to go up against one of the best defensive ends in the league everyday also has to help his development

Absolutely, they should just cut Dallas. One full season in the NFL is more than enough time to develop the full potential of an O lineman. Wade Smith being a good example.......oh wait.

I was honestly against the pick from the start. We haven't had good luck with players out of UT (Thomas, Allen). So far I am eating crow. I am fine with that if it keeps RT upright. IF the guy turns out to be an all pro I will buy his jersey.
