Jason Cole: Dolphins concerned about Tannehill

A common denominator I see is saying the Dolphins need to surround Tannehill with talent. Same argument was used here against Sanches. Upper echelon QBs make those around them better. Guys that need to be surrounded with top level talent don't fit that catagory.

Call that food for thought.

I call that bullish!t. There is a big difference between needing to surround a QB with top level talent and needing at least some talent. The comparison to Sanchez is a joke. All QBs need talent on the roster. The fact that supposed Dolphin fans could watch that OL and that running game last season and make a comment about Tannehill needing "top level" talent is very strange.

Also, let's not forget that Tannehill just finished his 2nd season.

You got a "thanks" from the biggest apologist there is for Matt Ryan (who just happened to go 4-12 last season).

Montana didn't need Roger Craig, Clark and Jerry Rice!!

Mark had comparable talent and helped his team reach 2 title games his first 2 years. when talent went down Mark had his lone bad year, has talent again and is thriving in the same system that Ryan appears to be struggling in according to you guys so no please don't compare him to a QB that has actually succeeded in this league.

Does it matter?

Would you prefer RT add the Noodle button hook into the equation?

His INTs came at very instances, no one could say that sat on his throws to Hartline

Joe did win 2 SBs w/o Rice and one w/o Craig.

So Joe didn't need skill to win - good job - Keep up the good posting

How many title games did buttfumble play in? In how many years? I need to be reminded 1,000,000 x a month

People overreact to one game...whether it's positive or negative. I will take Tannehill over Henne, Beck, Lemon and the other garbage we have had as of late.

So Matt Ryan's offensive line and injuries to his primary weapons along with a soft sissy girl defense, had no bearing on that record?

Rookie contract is coming up, do you pay RT franchise QB money right now? If not, then concerns are valid.
I've seen growth, but it's not enough to warrant franchise type money.

Marino didn't need Clayton or Duper. Or a running game.

Bleacher report...not even going to read it...and I am one of the biggest critics here...

Always concerned about our starting QB however less concerned about this one than anyone in quite a while save maybe be Chad P.
Lots on his shoulders but i think he can handle it and will have a solid year. Lazor will see to it. That's what he does and why he is here.

ok so should I bash Ryan for having mediocre #s in preseason then?

As long as you remember that you will be bashing Luck also, who just also happen to have even worse numbers.

Besides, You have already been on a bash fest all off-season with your continual back handed compliments and straight out attacks on Tennehill, so what would be new in that.

I think RT has been okay in the preseason. They have moved the ball. They just have not finished drives.

Is RT the answer the next ten years? That has to be answered this year and maybe next.

Also, this staff sinks or swims with him. If they yank RT or RT fails, they are done. The ONLY way they survive is if Matt Moore gets them into January and that still might not be enough.

Umm maybe you forgot that Dan the Man didn't win the SB... Not to forget the crazy 4th Q comebacks he led week after week because he didn't have a run game, and stout D playing behind him

RGIII, Newton, Kaepernick (among others) have all been worse. Those are three of the darlings of the Tannehater brigade.
