Jason Cole: Dolphins concerned about Tannehill

With that said, is this still true in your quote concerning Moore.

What part of him enduring 36 sacks and a myriad of hurries in 12 games in 2010 didn't you understand? Did you again miss the fact that his O-line was substandard like Tanny's, particularly with Colombo as his RT? :idk:

After starting the season 0-2 the Panthers thought they had Matt Moore as QB, but after throwing 4 ints and sacked 8 times in 2 games it's clear Moore isn't at the level the panthers are suspecting and wanting him to be at.

Edit: sorry didn't see someone posted that same snippet already, phones acting up loading all slow

Nothing "tough guy" about it. Just didn't want an infraction for what I really had to say. Especially since I took the time to spell it out for you (not a copy and paste) and all you had in return was the 3 generic drivils that you've clung to for this entire thread.

Good for you bud. You get so heated you have to cuss people out on the internetz. :3w:

Your drive recap explained nothing when it came to Tannehill's failure to put TD's up vs. the leagues worst offense in the dress rehearsal.

Please insert the name Ryan Tannehill into that story and tell me you wouldn't be barking for PATIENCE! GIVE THE GUY A CHANCE!

You won't though. That was a disaster season on all levels and to judge Moore ONLY on it after he was concussed in game one and was having to split games with Clausen, THEN tearing his labrum. C'mon bruh.

Even if you want to dog him for that train wreck of a year the Panthers had, he still came in and did something with this Dolphins offense that it hasn't seen in a decade (vs. bad or good teams).

I am happy Moore is the backup. Tannehill may not be the answer but Moore is definitely not.0

He took a concussion in game 1. I'm sure that had absolutely nothing to do with the rough start.

It gave context like you did for Moore.

I'm sure the team trainers said he was "fine" and they should know, right?

This is one of those things where guys are reading stat lines, which they tell fans not to fixate on when it comes to Tanny.

Anyone who followed that Carolina team closely in 2010 knew what a disaster it became.

You know what Tannehill didn't miss, despite the worst line in franchise history?... a single game.

I get it context for Moore is ok, but not Tannehill.

I like Moore, always have, not gonna argue against him. I like how he rallied the team, encouraged his teammates when it looked like they had nothing to play for. He carries himself like a QB and is a great teammate in general and to RT specifically. I wanted a raw Tannehill to sit, and wanted Moore to start over Garrard. Still think that would have been the best way to develop a high potential but raw QB although it wasn't to be.

However, we're not going to the SB this year and if there were any incremental wins to be gained by putting him in, which I doubt, it more or less closes the book on a QB who's exceeded many expectations after being thrown to JJ Watt and the wolves with little experience, an awful OC, a gawdawful OL, all sorts of distractions, no blocking RBs or TEs and no redzone TEs or most clutch 2012 3rd and TD reception percentage wideout after the 6th game. And that's just ridiculous for what we might, but most likely won't gain by inserting a stop-gap.

What context? These were the drives .... two of them stalled on Tanny plays. But I'm being told it was all on the rest of the team. I didn't see the drive, but were there better options than the Miller check down on the first one?

1st drive: 12 plays, 75 yards. TOP - 12:55. Stalled at Dallas' 8 after a possible check down to Miller that failed to pick up the first. FG 3 pts

2nd drive: 8 plays, 49 yards. TOP - 3:46. On the drives last play, Tannehill passed for the first down on 3rd and 3 with a 6 yard pass to Dion Sims who fumbled.

3rd drive: 3 plays, 3 yards. TOP -1:00. 1st down; Tannehill avoided a sack by throwing the ball at or around Sims for the in-completion. 2nd down; Miller run for 3 yards. 3rd down; bad throw by Tannehill in the flat to Sims which resulted in an in-completion. Punt

4th drive: 10 plays, 47 yards, TOP - 4:35. Although the drive was extended by an illegal formation penalty on 4th and 3 at the 7:17 mark, Hartline dropped a 5 yard pass that was directly in his hands on 3rd and 3 to force that punt. The play that killed the drive was a 10 yard penalty on Satele after Tannehill had connected with Wallace for a first down on 3rd and 3. Down was replayed at 3 & 10 and Tannehill was forced to throw it away when two Cowboys broke free on a blitz that was not picked up.

5th drive: 10 plays, 69 yards TOP - 4:48. Drive ended in a very bad decision by Tannehill to force it to Hartline and it was intercepted.
