I my personal opinion rookies should be signed within the first week of being drafted. Especially since the new CBA was signed. There isn't much for teams and player to haggle over. Hopefully by the time the next CBA is up for negotiations we get true set wages for rookies. I have always hated that rookies get a ton of money without proving anything first.

I would have to think that Turner would sign tomorrow before they completely break for vacation. They already have James and Landry done, shouldn't be hard to wrap up their 3rd round pick soon.

Right, he is 100% going to get his full amount, but if we cut him and another team picks him up we only have to pay the amount they don't pay to complete the full amount we guaranteed. Saying it is 100% guaranteed does not mean the offset language isn't in the contract. If I'm wrong someone please correct me. I think Hickey is at least smart enough to demand offset language.

Yeah you are probably right I think. What I said doesn't make sense as offset should only apply to guaranteed money.
