Jay, Good Riddance............

And of course Lucas and Griese wouldnt have lost those games if it wasnt for the defense right?

No, they just made more mistakes... you have to remember that Jay would normally get most of the snaps, the offense was built around his strengths, which wasnt what say the slower Griese could work in... In Lucas' case, he just literally played like a rookie. He played quite well as the back-up for the Jets, but he just couldnt cut it as a starter...

BTW... This is a thread by my own heart... I had a similar thread Wednesday night, but i didnt get such a response.

Fiedler sucks horibly, he would never have had that percentage if it wasent for the defense....they bailed his *** out for way too long.
You think? That's pretty funny. Seems to me that I can recall quite a few games in which this defense blew leads given to them by the Fiedler led offense. I have said it before and I will say it again, this defense needs to play four full quarters and not just one half of football. You people talk about not knowing which Jay would show up from game to game? Well, the same can certainly be said about this wonderful defense that we have. In fact, the defense has broken my heart far more times than Jay because I know that Jay's talent is limited but this defense is supposed to be great. Face it, this defense is overrated and inconsistent. I dare them to prove me wrong.

This was never an all-time great defense, at best it was a top five of a particular season. It was good enough to carry this team to 9-11 wins per year, but it wasn't 2001 Raven-like in its ability to overcome an inept offense led by a mediocre quarterback.

Dear Jay,

Thanks for never helping us to get to the Super Bowl. Thanks for all those floated passes to receivers that were totally open yet still 10 yards away from your target. Thanks for the walls you made me smash. The punching bag you helped me break. My liver you helped damage. The shoe you made me bury in my television after throwing 4 int's against KC. The Beer to Vodka switch you made me regret against the Patriots in December '02.

The good news is you now have enough money to get your ears and nose fixed!

Don't let the door hit you in your b!tch *** on the way out and knock the pictures of Wannstedt dry humping Pluto the dog at his daughters b-day party at Disneyland out of your pocket.

Go Feeley!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BUT a top 5 defense should be able to protect a lead that is given it, especially late in a game. This defense has let too many slip through its grasp. Again, it's overrated and inconsistent. Watch, many of the fans on this board will blame them as well this season when they blow games that A.J. gives them.

Sounds like you need an Anger Managment course and a 12-step program, not a change of QB.

Your heart has threads? Mine has laces with the words Miami Dolphins printed it.

little to early for jay's curtain call..
You know how to scare a guy.How many times did we think that we finally had a QB that could take over and take us to the next level only to find out that our OL couldnt protect him and that Jay was our only alternative.

Jay is like those Indian rubber dolls. You keep punching on him only to see him coming back.

Part of the problem is the low regard this org.has for spending money on OL going back to the "Yimmy"days.

It`s probably highly unlikely, but why can`t Feeley be a quality QB in the making?

We really don`t know enough about this guy to judge him just yet .I`ll agree it was long over due for a QB change. Fiedler tried his best but he was just not good enough, period. I think Feeley should be the starter, not only this week but for the rest of the season.Time will tell whether he`s a winner or not.As for my "highly unlikely" words, although I try to be optimistic,it`s hard being positive about anything this team does lately.......(by the way,if my calculations stand correct the Bengals have not beaten the Dolphins since 1977)...

Umm, I dont think it was Jay the blew the lead we had or Jay that messed up the kick off or shanked the punt
