Jay, Good Riddance............

Also, I dont know what your problem with Fiedler is. He works for the Dolphins. The Dolphins pay him to play. He plays. If anything, you should be made with the people who start him, not Fiedler himself.

Umm, I dont think it was Jay the blew the lead we had or Jay that messed up the kick off or shanked the punt

No but not being able to surpass 24 yards passing during the whole second half didnt get us in the old "W" column or the playoffs.

WHAT? What color is the sky on your world? First of all mad doesn't have an "e". Secondly, you said it yourself...Fiedler is paid to play. THATS A BUNCH OF BS! Fiedler and every other NFL player is paid to WIN. They might get paid regardless of win or loss column but all sports are about winning. People "Played" the game in high school. He doesn't get paid millions of dollars a year to go out there and blindly throw darts to receivers of either uniform. Fiedler can't throw. I didn't go into the whole "Wannstedt is an idiot because he starts Fiedler thing" (he is by the way) because that wasn't what the thread is about.

Maybe you have millions of dollars and loads of free time. I don't. My time is just as precious as my money. I love the Dolphins and will root for them until my dying breath. But, I want a QB who can throw the ball and make the team better. Not a qb, that the team has to pull out a win in spite of.

Lucas just played too. So did Ryan Leaf. I bet you think Benedict Arnold was just some guy that created a breakfast dish. Go sell crazy somewhere else we're all stocked up here.

What does that even mean? What don't you have the time for? Should they change the scedule to 3 games a week so there can be 3 seasons in a year because your time is precious? Is your time somehow more precious than that of any other Fins fan?

I see what you mean, but that doesn't apply to the game you mentioned. The team had the lead given to them by the O which was led by Fiedler. A combination of bad special teams play and poor D caused us to lose. Basically you took a situation where the O needed to win in spite of the D and special teams, but turned it totally the other way.

I honestly like feel bad for him, but his inconsistency has killed us. He has had some great games like last years Thanks Giving's day game, but also some really bad games like last year's Titans game. But he did play with heart.

Lets hope AJ is at least good enough and stays healthy enough to ensure you never start another game for the Dolphins.

You've made alot of money as a mediocre quarterback Jay so I trust we won't have to feel sorry for you.

Yes Jay, you did have a good winning percentage but so did Tim Ruddy and he wasn't very good either.

Jay, from the back to back interceptions in the Midnight Miracle to the six interceptions thrown against the Colts and Raiders in the 2000 playoffs you've displayed a knack for not quite being there when the team needs you.

I could go on and on, the 5 yard bullet to Bruschi for a touchdown in the biggest game of the season was classic, you were giving points away at the same time you couldn't produce any.

In 2002, in the season finale against the Pats, a game we had to have to make the playoffs, what did you do Jay? Well that second half of yours was simply brilliant..........3-14 for 24 yards.....smoking Jay!

So in closing Jay, your a wealthy man now so I don't feel sorry for you, and frankly you weren't good enough and really achieved nothing in four years and one game so I won't say thank you.

Perhaps Jay, instead of us thanking you, you should rather thank the defense who carried you and made you rich.

I know you all must have some Fiedler Nightmares to share?
- The final for me was after the 1st series in Oakland in the 2000 playoffs. Fiedler Lovers seem to forget all about that glorious moment. After doing all he could to lose the Colts game in Miami , only to have L.Smith (200 yds+) and the Defense play their brains out to pull off the win , you would think Jay Stiffy would come out sharper. Surely with a week and a cross country fight after such a dreadful game , Jay would understand the importance of not making the stupid mistake. I remember it well. Game starts , the Defense gets the Oakland Offense off the field in a 3 and out , a short punt and we have Great field position. What happen to our fearless leader after that? The singular , most bone headed play in Dolphin history given the moment and conditions. Stiffy throws into TRIPLE coverage on the sidelines. The ball was hung up so long that the Raiders CB's were doing "rock , paper , scissors" for the right to intercept and return for the TD.

It was clear at that point that there was NO CHANCE that this guy would ever lead the Dolphins to the promised land. Clear to all except..

Wanny? :roflmao: :shakeno:  :roflmao:

Thanks Jay for the passion you have for the game. I will surely remember all the GREAT games you played, no matter what anyone else says.

-we won that game , right?

-the key is "given the circumstances" . Stiffy had thrown 3 and had done everything to lose the Indy game. 1st series against the Raiders, end the game. Garo was Pathetic. Stiffy was Moronic.:goof:

Dear Jay,

Thanks for never helping us to get to the Super Bowl. Thanks for all those floated passes to receivers that were totally open yet still 10 yards away from your target. Thanks for the walls you made me smash. The punching bag you helped me break. My liver you helped damage. The shoe you made me bury in my television after throwing 4 int's against KC. The Beer to Vodka switch you made me regret against the Patriots in December '02.

The good news is you now have enough money to get your ears and nose fixed!

Don't let the door hit you in your b!tch *** on the way out and knock the pictures of Wannstedt dry humping Pluto the dog at his daughters b-day party at Disneyland out of your pocket.

Go Feeley!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:roflmao:

Some of those Jay memories sound eerily similar to mine!

I remember Jays great games (or should I say game) as well...who can forget it...lol

I think Jay is a smart guy, but it is defnitely time to give AJ a start to show what he is really made of, once he gets the confidence from his receivers, he will definitely make a difference in this team
