Guys, firing people isn't the answer. Ok, fire them and get who?

All of the haters fail to see the true undercurrent that has steered this organization for the past decade.

NO CREDIBLE COACH OR GM WANTS TO BE A PART OF THIS ORGANIZATION. And why should they? This organization and fan base has acted without direction or loyalty to its decisions for a very long time.

You might point the finger at "a guy" and say he's better than "a guy we already have", but getting them to coach or GM here IS THE PROBLEM.

3 years is about the limit of patience this organization has shown for anyone. And it has gotten us where? Right where we are today. When you act like the rich kid who always gets his way, eventually people run you out of money and stop listening.

We have a systemic problem. There is NO overnight fixing. And by overnight, I mean 3 years. We have got to commit to the same coach, GM and QB for at least 5 years before anyone in the NFL will respect us. We have to endure the losing, the learning curves and everything that comes along with being a disrespected organization desperately trying to change it's image. The problem is with the brand. The problem is with everyone.

We cling to Dan Marino and the Undefeated 1972 Dolphins like no one or nothing will ever replace them, EVER. The fact is they were great and legendary pieces of our PAST. Everyone that steps onto the field to us cannot be compared to some standard that we have not achieved in 20 or 40 years.

If fans are not willing to see Philbin on the sidelines and Ireland in the press box for 5 years as a team, we will never be able to attract established and respected coaches.

No matter how you slice the blame (which is the problem), we have had great individuals in their own right (please don't misquote me out of context) come to this organization and leave without laying credit to the time they spent with us.

The likes of Jimmy Johnson, The Tuna and Nick Saban. What do we have to show for the time they spent here? Nothing but crying about losing and blaming them for making the Sun go down at night.

How can you expect <Insert General Manager name here> or <Insert Head Coach name here> to WANT to come here? Those men want stability. They can go anywhere else and have bad years and not worry about their jobs. Here, we don't even let the season get half way over and we're wanting everyone fired. Get real.

Fire Philbin and/or Ireland and we set this clock back 10 more years.

Everyone should stop distancing themselves from the team and blaming the organization or anyone they can name when something goes wrong. Rookie HC, Rookie GM and Rookie QB; what are you really expecting? These guys have got to learn together. Having a young team is a great label, but the reality is sobering.

This is gonna take patience. High hopes but realistic expectations. But we do have pieces that will get us to where we want. It's just not gonna happen today.

One of the most ridiculous things I've heard on this site, and that's saying a lot

So we should keep the guys that are causing us to lose in order to prevent us from hiring guys who might cause us to lose.

Sounds legit, cant fail.

 @ the rookie GM line.

I not placing all blame on him because the players and coaches share the blame. I think its sadly apparent or at least it seems that Philben is nothing special as a coach.
sherman has been pretty bad as our OC . The oline coach should be fired right now. The Dc is solid I dont think he is as good as our previous DC but he has some potential.

It amazes me how everyone jumped on the Philbin bandwagon as if he was something special before he had done anything. I agree with you, I just have not seen anything that makes this guy special. Nothing.

Man OP, you're stepping in it with this thread. There's some folks on this board that would defend Ireland at all costs, even if he busted into their house and shot their dog and moms, they would just say that "Philbin...er...Bill Parcells...er...Tony Sparano made him a homicidal maniac!"

... Or they'd blame the architect and construction company that built the house.

I would blame the architect if he is the only consistent factor through the losing. Players and coaches have come and gone yet the GM remains. I give it the rest of the season, perhaps they can get the 9 wins I wanted, if not he has to go but rejoice Ireland apologists the coaching staff would likely follow

I keep telling you guys, our problems are from top to bottom. No one is consistent. Hell we can't even lose consistently and get Andrew luck.

Yes Ireland cannot coach the players, but he is the guy who buys the groceries and he is sucking at. All four top draft picks haven't even suited up, or have played very little. Why draft guys like Jamar Taylor and Dallas Thomas? The Patriots have had way more injuries than the Phins and they get guys off the street who play hard and contribute right away. I am tired of people giving Ireland a free pass.

And jeff ireland doesnt play the game or coach it. How the F does he get the blame here?

Because he's the GM and his only job is to put together a winning team ...and that includes picking the players and hiring the right people to coach the team. Is there some aspect of his job that he's very good at? Competent at? This is the 5th year he's been GM and it's the 5th year he's served up a heaping pile of moose turd pie masquerading as a football team. Simply put, Ireland is lacking in all aspects of being a GM. So since Ireland is in charge of player selection and what coaches to hire, how the F doesn't he get the blame here?
