Yes, it's supposed to be Jeff Ireland. Obviously, I wasn't paying attention. Mod change?

I don't care if he was "handcuffed" by Parcells, he has still been the GM since 2008, it's not like he only sat around got coffee for Parcells, I'm sick of the excuses that people make for Jeff Ireland. He's like a little rat that won't go away.

We're in the midst of our longest streak of losing seasons (3) since the Dolphins were an expansion team in the 1960s AFL. It's pathetic how far this organization has fallen since 2004, from one of the top organizations to one of the worst. From a model franchise to a model of what not to do if you want to continue to have success. (Take note New England) Who knows how long it will be before this franchise is a real contender again. The Bengals last won a playoff game in 1990, Lions in 1991...we look like we're headed down this path. Like it or not the Dolphins are the worst run organization in Miami. The Marlins may be shady but they have passed us by becoming baseballs biggest story during their offseason.

We fired Sparano early in order to get a head start, and we may be the last to hire a new coach. Sparano has a job, by the way, and the team he's on will probably be contending for a wild card while we're done in November.

The only way to actually inject real excitement into this franchise would be to trade up for RG3 or sign Peyton Manning (If he's healthy obviously and a free agent). Would Jeff Ireland actually do either? doubtful...don't get your hopes up. Ross and Ireland give no hope for the future right now.

The stadium will be half empty...I've already heard people who don't want to renew season tickets now, who did in 2011. The Marlins may average more.

the only way to get excitement is to win, not by getting a manning who may be severaly injured, or a fisher, who never was a TRUE favorite to come to miami and who wanted too much control/veto power. any smart owner knows that in miami, its easy to get them excited with a name, but soon as that same guy doesnt win they hate him.

this team is doing the best thing to keep continuity and to get a coach who knows his place and concentrates on it.

that is a breath of fresh air - since the reason we have fallen so far, is b/c we have tried to mastermind celebrity route 1 too many times.

I'm sorry it's beyond important if while the Tuna was here he was the one making the final choice instead of Ireland. In that type of setup Ireland was essentially a scout, not the GM. In no way is that a small or a point you can simply gloss over, sorry.

Jeff Ireland didn't have the last say when Parcell was around. If he did, Pat White wouldn't have been a 2nd round pick. It was well know that Parcell had a man crush on dude.

I blame Parcells too, I blame him for bringing that @$$hole in here in the first place and failing to bring us a QB, but people act like Ireland is this great GM that people and players in the NFL love, when he isn't.

I think you're overreacting. I bet you're real fun in real life.

So you didn't like Ireland's choices this past season as GM?

Ireland's rep comes from all of the players he picked in Dallas. Parcell started listening to his advice on players during the Demarcus Ware draft. That was the best draft Dallas had since Jimmy Johnson. Not sure if he's the right guy for the Fins but his rep for finding talent is well know in NFL circles. I guess we'll see what happens over the next year. It's do or die. Got to find or QB if he wants to stick around.

I'm a big fan of his moves this year and am glad he'll have a second year to do the same and prove we made the right call.
