Active Roster
Yes, it's supposed to be Jeff Ireland. Obviously, I wasn't paying attention. Mod change?
I don't care if he was "handcuffed" by Parcells, he has still been the GM since 2008, it's not like he only sat around got coffee for Parcells, I'm sick of the excuses that people make for Jeff Ireland. He's like a little rat that won't go away.
We're in the midst of our longest streak of losing seasons (3) since the Dolphins were an expansion team in the 1960s AFL. It's pathetic how far this organization has fallen since 2004, from one of the top organizations to one of the worst. From a model franchise to a model of what not to do if you want to continue to have success. (Take note New England) Who knows how long it will be before this franchise is a real contender again. The Bengals last won a playoff game in 1990, Lions in 1991...we look like we're headed down this path. Like it or not the Dolphins are the worst run organization in Miami. The Marlins may be shady but they have passed us by becoming baseballs biggest story during their offseason.
We fired Sparano early in order to get a head start, and we may be the last to hire a new coach. Sparano has a job, by the way, and the team he's on will probably be contending for a wild card while we're done in November.
The only way to actually inject real excitement into this franchise would be to trade up for RG3 or sign Peyton Manning (If he's healthy obviously and a free agent). Would Jeff Ireland actually do either? doubtful...don't get your hopes up. Ross and Ireland give no hope for the future right now.
The stadium will be half empty...I've already heard people who don't want to renew season tickets now, who did in 2011. The Marlins may average more.
