Misi with his short arms. Misi, the guy who can't get off blocks and makes no big plays. He's just another disappointment in a long line of disappointments our team has brought in over the years.
Uh yeah they DID say that
Each of Ireland's First round picks are starters. Instead of just bitching, compare him to other GM's and I think you would be surprised. Bill Polian's name was mentioned by many on here as a replacement (and even by a national journalist) What players out of this list gets you excited? 2011 Anthony Castanzo T, 2010 DE Jerry Hughes (who Polian himself admitted was a bad pick), 2009 - RB Donald Brown, 2008 (no first round pick, their first pick #59, second round) G Mike Pollak. Do any of those picks get you excited? They shouldn't.
Donald Brown gets me excited:

Awsi Dooger, who is far and away the best and most intelligent poster on this board, and a very successful handicapper I might add,, summarized it best:
Love how the best Ireland defense now amounts to... 'oh no, not another bash Ireland thread, just what we needed.' Wave the white flag already... The OP's argument is legit.
This SPIN and constant reference to his so called 'draft record' (which btw is ENTIRELY subjective) as an example of how the man is a superior talent evaluator is CONSTANTLY overshadowed by his total lack of ability to evaluate his own personnel... Case in point, HENNE.
Nobody will argue we are in desperate need of a QB right now, not even Ireland himself, but we could have made that exact statement a year ago heading into LAST years draft!!! The fact that he selected ZERO QB's... Nada... Bupkiss... Says one OR BOTH of two things... He either wrongly evaluated Henne heading into his contract year... Or he puts little to no stock on the QB position...
Understand something... This has NOTHING TO DO WITH WHO WAS AVAILABLE... there is simply no excuse to delay the development of the program a year BY STANDING PAT... Please tell me how we are supposed to be happy about either of those two ludicrous outcomes... Last years season was OVER before the half way mark and you Ireland 'supporters' want to forego accountability... Awesome.![]()
And what QB did you want him to attempt to take? Ponder? Gabbert? It is really easy to scream Ireland has no produced a QB yet. But which one did you want him to take? Should he have traded up to get Ponder, would the team be in a better situation? How about Gabbert? Did he look like the answer? Ireland does not get credit for not overreacting to an ignorant fan base's screams to get Kyle Orton last year, but he should. Instead he signed Moore, who was ranked 12th in QB rating in the NFL last year. Ahead of Ponder, Gabbert, Andy Dalton, and Cam Newton (all were drafted last year.) If you look at Ireland's drafts and compare them against other GM's in the league, people would realize that he is much better than he is given credit for. And reaching on any player, QB or otherwise usually does not work out in the long run.
