I'll take the Ryan Clark statement seriously. The guy really has no reason to make **** up.

But Joey Porter? Guy is a cretin and definitely biased.

In all of this, the media dogpiling, etc., the Clark statement is what troubles me. He's really got no reason to make that nonsense up.

Yeah, Clark seems perfectly placed to make an honest appraisal of Ireland. This absurd agenda to invalidate his opinion because we pursued him FA? Ridiculous. He's a quality player from a stable franchise who was put off by Ireland. It's a good source.

Nothing that has ever come out of Porter's mouth has been worth a damn. His opinion is worthless.

Honestly, I think we are looking for our QB of the future in the draft.

This team is rebuilding, on the offensive side of the ball.

Tannenhill or Weeden could come in and by their 2nd year in the league become starters, effective starters at that.

I hate that we are rebuilding, by fact is all the moves this FO has made is ringing the tune loud and clear.

The question is, do you people trust Philbin?

We all know what Ireland has to offer and we all want him out, but fact is that is not happening soon.

Philbin was hand picked by Ross, so that means Ross signed off on this rebuilding period.

The only way we were going to avoid this rebuilding mode is if we got Manning and that did not happen.

It is obvious Philbin did not see Flynn as a Franchise QB and Miami let him go to Seattle to fight for a starters role.

I don't have a problem with the rebuilding. The point is, I didn't agree with Ireland trading for Brandon Marshall in the first place. I'm glad the headcase is gone, but the point is, Ireland is clueless.

Didn't want Peyton Manning either. That also has nothing to do with Jeff Ireland's belligerence.


I don't think Ireland goes around offering contracts to quarterbacks that he isn't interested in signing. None of them want to be in Miami. It's no different than his pursuit of Kyle Orton last year that Ross had to step in and save the franchise from.

I don't "trust" any of 'em. That doesn't mean Philbin is on my sh*t list either, unlike Ireland. Philbin has a chance to prove himself on gamedays.

But I don't believe that they're out there pursuing QB's just to look busy either. Whether Philbin saw Flynn as a franchise QB or not is irrelevant.... I doubt they see David Garrard as a franchise QB either but the fact is, Garrard's desperation is likely only matched by Miami's.

Do you really think this team is going to win 10+ games with Moore or Garrard at the helm? While also trading away one of our best offensive assets in Brandon Marshall and getting rid of another defensive asset in Yeremiah Bell?

This team has a much better chance of losing 10+ games than they do winning 10+ games.

WTF are you talking about washed up? his last year was his best year, I watched him play a lot and I was always impressed with his abilities. Seriously, are you basing your opinion on his personality or something, I never followed his career too closely. His stats speak for themselves, his career stats are very good and definitely above average, why are you so down on him. Look at Smith's stats or even Moore. ( Flynn doesn't have any) Garrard has had a good career. None of these other QB's are going to be the answer so why are you pissed we didn't throw our money away. Ireland saved us a lot of money we can use elsewhere. I know we need a QB but it's going to have to come through the draft, just like 99% of all the other teams have to do. These other scrubs were not worth it, you have to see that right. . . ( even if you think Garrard sucks) Flynn is not an upgrade and Smith is only marginally, so why throw money away, just to placate the mindless fanbase?
