Just waiting to hear the news that McDaniel has declined to have his 2nd interview with the Dolphins and will remain with the 9ers.

Who was the coach on the Netflix show.... Coach Brown i think his name was, I wonder if he wants back into coaching.... he'd probably turn us down too now that I think about it.

Isn't it sad that this even has to be a worry?

I just hate where we are as a society now when race has to be factored ahead of legit qualifications. Some people just can't let go of this card. SMH.
 
Its possible Flo lied about all this (doubt it) but it is likley that Flo has no evidence of this 100k per loss thing.

However if he does have proof, Ross will be forced to relinquish the team or he gets banned from the NFL for life. The Dolphins will definitely be fined and possibly lose draft picks. Grier will likley also be wrapped up in this and be banned.

The media circus this may cause would be a huge distraction.

We may have a hard time finding a good coach. If im McDaniel I wouldn't start my head coaching career in this mess.

You make a good point, I would not blame McDaniel if he does not want to take the job

if all that happens and Ross is banned from the league, he will simply sell the team to his hand picked successor and everything will go back to the way it is under Ross.

Only Beal might not be as free with his money as Ross has been. Ross and Beal seem to have the same contacts in the NFL. So don’t be surprised if after 13 years of Beal as the owner, the Dolphins are still the same mediocre team they have been under Ross.
 
Apparently Deadspin posted an article knocking McDaniel as "another young white guy as the next hot NFL coaching prospect" but had to retract when they learned he was interracial (of which the exact anything is not published).

I had no idea and don't really care. But I think it's funny that such a big deal was being made about it.

Not to derail the thread, but Flo’s lawsuit, which is completely frivolous as a legal matter, makes it pretty clear that he’s not playing with a full deck. And for what it’s worth, someone most people here probably know told me just this evening that Flores’s reputation in the league is that he’s a gigantic prick. You can’t control sports writers and Twitter blue checks, but any half way serious person can tell what’s going on.

So if McDaniel or any other coaching candidate declines the job because of this, it’s probably for the best as the person has no clue how the PR game works, which is an important part of being and NFL HC.
