Jim Harbaugh related news and updates

So we are down to McDaniel and Pederson ( sounds like he's black balled) and Moore

Isn't it sad that this even has to be a worry?

I just hate where we are as a society now when race has to be factored ahead of legit qualifications. Some people just can't let go of this card. SMH.

if you hate that race is factored ahead of legit qualifications you’re going to be really pissed when you find out how few black head coaches are employed right now.

unless your point is there aren’t any qualified ones.

While I agree there are several qualified black coaches who might be excellent head coaches but I really don’t see how this legal action by Flores is going to help those coaches.

In fact it might hurt their chances because owners might be more wary of hiring a black head coach if they think that if they fire him in a few years, he will sue the team.

In this case Flores was fired because of his inability to get along and communicate with people in the organization. One of these individuals was Grier. A black GM who was the person most responsible for hiring Flores to begin with.

I have no problem with the Dolphins hiring a black HC, white HC or any other color HC. I just want a head coach that can put a consistent winner on the field and get this team into the playoffs.

If hiring a minority is important to some people on here, McDaniel seems to be the perfect hire. He is Bi-racial and hopefully will bring a dynamic offense to the Dolphins. So Ross should just hire him and lets start getting ready for free agency and the draft.

Pft (take it for what it’s worth) is reporting that Harbaugh will be named head coach of the Vikings tomorrow

Maybe we lose draft picks and are a 1 win team the year Arch Manning QB comes out of college..... one can dream!..... yea we probably lost Harbaugh because of this.

That is hilarious since Harbaugh has not been interviewed yet, Harbaugh could bomb his interview and Vikings hire someone else

With Harbaugh’s record and qualifications…..Do you really think he needs to be interviewed? I’m pretty sure it’s just walking in and signing a piece of paper for the most part. They might go over some minor details….But he’s not walking out of Viking Headquarters without a deal. Guaranteed.

Interesting. So are you saying that there are few black head coaches in the NFL because they're unqualified or passed over for someone else?

Because I don't give a crap about someone's skin color. If they can do the job that is all I care about. Whether there are few black head coaches has nothing to do with any conspiracy theories about the NFL being racist.

I hate how any thing in business now is being divided by "equity" as opposed to ONLY actual qualifications.

However. I do apologize ahead of time if you're going to provide me some actual proof that few black coaches have not been hired.... Because they're black.
